I spent what seemed like hours wriggling free from the ropes. I had managed to get my hands unbound and then the rest was easy. I managed to get out of the chair without injuring myself too much. I mean, sure, I had some rope burn and cuts on my wrists and ankles, but I would say it was pretty successful.
I was fully out of the chair now; all I needed was to figure out a way to get out of the bus. The door was locked to the room that I was in, so I had no doubt the door to the bus was locked too.
I quickly scanned the room, glancing at the clock as I went. It had been four hours since the boys left. Ok, so they had taken much longer than that yesterday, so I had time to break out of here.
My eyes zeroed in on a plastic garbage can with metal rims. If I applied enough force...
I grabbed the garbage can, not wanting to spare a minute. I mustered up as much strength as I could and slammed the edge of the can against the door knob. Although it didn't break, the knob loosened. I decided to try again.
Mustering up as much force as I could, which wasn't much because I haven't exactly been eating, and slammed the can into the door knob. The door, to my surprise, popped open. Nervously, I stepped out. No one else was on the bus, but that's what I expected. I quickly jogged over to the bus door. The lock on that door seemed more complicated. I had to find something heavy.
I quickly glanced out the window of the bus, and my heart stopped. Coming towards the bus was One Direction and they were all staring at the window I was standing in, with narrowed eyes. Shit, they saw me trying to escape.
I started to shake with fear. I couldn't believe this was happening. They were going to beat the shit out of me. I swear to god my body almost started to convulse, but then realization struck; they couldn't see into the bus. They weren't watching me with narrowed eyes, they were squinting at the sun's reflection.
Relief washed over me; they hadn't caught me yet. I had to think quickly. I couldn't tie myself up fast enough, so they would catch me as soon as they stepped into the bus. I had to play this out. I had to...
Wait, I could use this to earn their trust. I could show them that they were playing with fire. I breathed in slowly three times. The boys were almost at the bus, now. I had to play this cool.
I casually sat myself down in the small booth next to the kitchenette and picked up a gossip magazine. I flipped to the middle page and pretended to engross myself into the story. On the inside, I was nervous and screaming, but on the outside I was confident and casual.
The boys were now unlocking the bus door. My breath hitched in my throat, this was it. I would either get punished or respected.
The door flung open and Zayn and Liam stepped on the bus first. The other boys filed in after them. They hadn't seen me yet. They really didn't notice me. I sat there patiently, looking up from the magazine, waiting for one of them to see me.
Louis glanced in my direction and caught my eyes. His jaw dropped and his eyes popped open.
"Uh, g-g-guys." He nudged the person nearest to him, Niall. All the guys followed his stare and then mimicked his reaction.
"W-w-what?!" Harry gasped, frozen in his spot.
"Why are you-" Niall couldn't finish his sentence.
"How the fuck did you get out?" Liam asked, trying to remain calm. I wanted to stop the charade and give up immediately, but I couldn't let myself do this.
I just shrugged as a response.
"I asked you how you got out." Liam stepped closer to me. His voice was stern and warning.
