When I awoke the next morning, I was still cuddled into Louis's chest. His arm was wrapped tightly around my waist and his leg was hooked over my legs. His chest was pressed against my hips and his head was on my stomach. The worst part was is that I didn't at all feel uncomfortable. I actually felt... Happy? No. No, I can't feel that.
I didn't move at all. I wouldn't want to wake him. I had no idea why I felt so sympathetic towards my captor. I guess he was right when he said I had developed Stockholm Syndrome.
Shit.
Well this complicates things.
A lot.
Louis moaned into my stomach and turned his head to the other side. His fingers dug into my waist as his grip on me tightened. It tickled a little it. I had to fight the urge to giggle.
"Mmm," Louis groaned, "do I have to get up?"
"Yes, because you're crushing me." I try to say as seriously as possible, which was ruined when I let out a small giggle. Louis suddenly lifted his head off of my stomach and stared up at me with wide eyes and a big grin.
"I made you laugh." He pointed out as he propped himself up on his elbows.
"I didn't laugh."
"Yes you did." He pressed, raising his eyebrows at me.
"Fine, just get off of me before I pee all over you." With that, Louis jumped out of bed and stumbled to the floor, nearly falling on his hands and knees. I laughed at his poor balance as I rushed to get ready in the bathroom.
By the time I get out, all of the boys were up and dressed. No one said anything as I came into the room. They were all too busy eating breakfast. I went and sat down next to Louis in the booth and stared out the window, glancing after the trees flying by us in longing.
"KATIE!" Someone snapped me from my thoughts.
"What?"
"Did you hear me?" Liam asked, slightly annoyed but he tried to mask it.
"Sorry." I muttered and looked down. I heard him let out a sigh.
"That's ok," he said kindly, "I was just asking if you wanted breakfast."
"No thanks."
"Come on, you should eat." Liam demanded in complete concern. I shook my head.
"I'm not hungry."
"You're going to get sick." Harry looked up at me. I didn't respond to him. I had as little interaction as possible with him these days.
"Yeah, look guys, she's already skin and bones." Zayn chimed in, grabbing my wrist and holding it up to prove his point. I yanked away from him and looked down at myself in disgust. I was getting pretty thin...
"Please eat, babe." Louis asked me softly. I just nodded and stared at the table. Louis lightly pushed his plate in front of me. I began to pick at the food on his plate.
To be honest, it was a complete coincidence that I agreed to eat only after Louis had asked me. I hadn't planned that at all. The boys, however, kept exchanging glances. They were having a silent conversation that I was not a part of. I knew what it was about, though; how I acted around Louis.
Not even I knew the answer to that.
Apparently, we had stopped driving at night so the bus driver could get some rest, so we would be driving all day to make up for it. The rest of the day we lounged around the bus and I, like always, followed Louis around like a lost puppy. I sat near him, I did everything he did and I ate when he did. The only time we were apart was when either of us had to use the bathroom.
