📍Pandora's House
Atlanta, GA| March 16, 2023
I woke up to the softest feeling—his arms wrapped around me, our legs tangled under the comforter like vines. Sunlight peeked through my curtains, warm and golden, casting gentle shadows across the room. Legend's scent still lingered on my skin, woodsy and deep like the cologne he wore, mixed with the warmth of his body beside mine.
I shifted a little, and instantly, his hold on me tightened.
"Mmm," his voice was low, raspy with sleep. "Where you going, mama?"
I turned to face him, our noses just inches apart. His lashes fluttered as he opened his eyes—soft brown, still hazy with sleep, but that little smirk tugging at his lips made my heart flutter.
"Was just gonna get up, Bubs," I whispered. "Didn't wanna wake you."
He blinked slowly, brushing a hand gently across my waist before he leaned in and kissed my forehead. "You good, though? From last night?"
"I'm more than okay," I said, meaning it. "You were gentle... thoughtful. I felt safe. Like I could breathe."
Legend exhaled like he'd been holding that in. "That's how it's supposed to feel, baby. Ain't no pressure. I just wanna move at your pace."
That made me smile, and I leaned in to kiss him—slow and sweet. "Thank you for that."
Eventually, we got up, still moving slow. I tossed on one of his shirts, brushing my teeth while he stood behind me at the sink. His arms snaked around my waist and his chin found its way to my shoulder.
"You look cute doing anything," he teased, grinning at me through the mirror.
"Don't hype me up too hard, Bubs. I'll start acting up."
"I like when you act up." He winked.
I swatted at him playfully and told him to go chill while I made breakfast.
In the kitchen, I connected my phone to the speaker and let my R&B playlist set the mood. 🎶 "Between Us" by dvsn & Snoh Aalegra played softly in the background, filling the room with a slow, sultry vibe.
I swayed my hips as I whisked the eggs, the scent of vanilla and cinnamon from the pancakes already dancing through the air. I heard footsteps behind me and turned to see Legend leaning in the doorway, arms crossed, watching me with a look that made me blush.
"You in here bein' a whole vibe," he said, his voice thick with admiration.
"Gotta make sure you don't regret waking up next to me," I said with a smirk.
He walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder again. "Ain't a chance in hell I'd regret this."
Once breakfast was done, we sat at the table—pancakes, eggs, turkey bacon, fresh fruit, and coffee between us. But before we dug in, I reached for his hand.
