QUICK NOTE YALL THIS ONE MADE MY DEAD ASS CRY ,I I WANT MYSELF DEAD
______________________
you took a deep breath, not wanting to start your car. because starting your car meant driving to Luke, and driving to Luke meant that today was here.
when you came down to visit your dad for the summer in Australia a few months ago, you never imagined your trip to be so amazing. it would have sucked, if it wasn't for Luke.
you met him in a record store downtown, him slamming his giant body into yours and making you fall to the ground, just because his blue eyes were focused on his phone in his hand.
you didn't like him at first, he was too confident and too cocky for you. the fact that he with a smirk named you 'baby girl' right away, even though you told him your name, made your stomach turn. you tried avoiding him, and considering you were in Sydney you thought that it wouldn't be that hard. but with your luck, you found out that he lived in the same neighbourhood as your dad. he managed to find you everywhere, no matter where you went he showed up with that annoying smirk on his face.
you disliked him for weeks, and you did until he finally managed to caught your attention. it was a sunny day, and you were placed at a table inside a small cafe. someone bumped down by your table, and you looked up to see Luke. just as you were about to snap at him, he pointed at your book, a genuine smile on his face as he asked if you've read any more books by the author.
you talked all day, lost in a conversation that fascinated you more than any other boy's words had managed to. it wasn't until the employers had to ask the two of you to leave that you snapped back to reality and realised that you had just spent your whole day with Luke. then walking home together, side by side, you offered to bring him that book he said he still haven't had the time to read. with a smile, he'd say that he'd love that, and then describing the way to another coffee house where you could meet him up.
you spent every day with him after that. allowing him to show you around Sydney, driving you in his car or walking with his hand in yours. you'd talk books, discuss characters and then explain exactly why you loved or hated that specific book. he'd take you in his car, driving to a drive in, order lots of good before driving to some empty parking lot. he'd turn his radio on, eating the food while listening to your dreams.
he wasn't like you thought he was. Luke was kind and gentle, not the asshole he first was when he met you. the pet names stayed, but they didn't bother you anymore, you had grown to love them. you loved them just as much as Luke loved it when said something other than his name. you never could have imagined that the giant boy with a lip piercing and black jeans would sweep you off your feet like that. you never thought he'd share the same dreams as you, or that his love for books was just as huge as yours.
you never thought you'd fall in love when going to Australia for just a few months. but here you are, three months later, and hopelessly in love with Luke.
-
"you want your book back?" he asked, sending warm air against the skin of your neck. you guys were placed under the blankets in his bed, him in his boxers and you in your underwear and one of his huge t-shirts. his nose was pressed against your neck, his body melting into yours as he hugged your waist, your own hands playing with his hair.
"no" you signed. "you can keep it"
"but it's your favourite"
"you can keep it as a memory" you said, running one of your hands down his neck. you softly scratched your nails against the skin on his neck, knowing how much he loved it when you played with hair back there.
"stop saying like that" Luke groaned, burying his face deeper against your neck. "it's not like you're dying, you're just going home"
"home is where you are, Luke" you whispered, blinking hard.
"we will make it a home one day, baby girl" he says, running one of his hands under your t-shirt, resting his palm on your warm belly. "but not today"
you sighed again. "what if I don't see you again, Luke?"
"you will" he raised his hands, pressing his forehead against your cheek. "you will see me tons of times again"
"how do you know?" you muttered, tugging at his hair in frustration. "I live on the other side of earth, Luke"
"we will figure it out" he breathed out, pressing his lips against your neck. "I promise"
you stayed quiet, closing your eyes while tilting your head to the side, giving Luke more access to your neck.
he left a trail of wet kisses on your skin, his hand moving from your stomach to run down your body until it settled on your hip. you breathed out softly, once again tugging at his hair, but this in a way to encourage him to keep going.
"Luke" you whined softly, cupping your face with his hands to bring you closer to your face. "baby, please kiss me"
he'd sigh, softy changing position until he's practically lying on top of you. his closes his eyes as he presses his nose against yours. "I'm so in love with you"
"I know, baby" you mumbled, running your fingers through his hair before bringing them to the back of his neck. "I'm in love with you too"
"baby girl" he whined out his pet name for you, finally pressing his lips against yours. "I'll miss you so much"
you just hummed as an answer, not able to speak with your lips against his, like he could. you didn't have to say anything though, he already knew. with more powers he pressed his body closer to yours, squeezing your hips and earning a soft giggle escaping your lips.
he smiled, breaking away quickly to catch his breath, before attacking you again. with new power he ran his tongue along your bottom lip, begging for entrance. after moving his lips against yours for a while, he broke apart, softly kissing down your neck again.
"Luke" you finally managed to choke out. he stopped, looking up at your face with a worried expression.
as he sees your tear filled eyes he quickly sits up, cupping your face. "baby, what's wrong? what did I do?"
"you didn't do anything" you mumble, your eyes dropping to your lap. "I just..."
Luke sat down again, this time with his back against the wall, bringing you up in his lap. "you'll be alright, y/n"
"not without you, Luke" you closed your eyes hard, pressing your face against his bare shoulder.
"yes you will" he wrapped his arms around your body, softly rocking you back and forth. "you were alright before you met me, and you'll be alright after all of this as well"
"I really don't want to leave you" you sobbed, allowing the tears to fall. "I want to stay with you"
"I know, honey" he sighs, kissing the top of your head. "but you have a life to go back to. you have people who love you back home who would be devastated if you left"
you kept crying, now moving your emigre body until you're straddling his lap, your arms around him as you press your face against his neck. "please don't let me go"
"y/n..." his words were barely above a whisper, because he knew that if he spoke louder you'd notice that he's crying as well.
a loud sound audible comes from your phone, telling you that it's time to go home. the noise only makes you cry harder, and your arms to cling around his body.
"baby" he pressed a kiss to your head again, knowing that you need to go, otherwise you'll miss your flight. "it's time to go"
"no" you sob harder, your whole body trembling. "I don't want to"
"you have to" he cupped your face, forcing you to look up at him through your tears. "summer is over, baby girl. you have to go back to your life and school"
"I want to stay" you grabbed his face as well, pulling him forward until his forehead is pressed against yours.
"hey, look at the bright side" he mumbles, his thumbs rubbing over your cheeks. "we had a whole summer together, you were mine for almost three months. I'm so grateful for that"
you stayed quiet, only staring into his blue eyes, knowing that with your dad coming back home with you, this probably is the last time. "I will never love anyone the way I love you, Luke"
he closed his eyes, trying to keep away the tears. but you knew he was close to crying as he opened his mouth to speaks, and his voice cracked, "I'll always love you, baby girl. no distance will ever change that.."
you sighed, choking out another sob as your phone went off again. you really needed to go. your hand went around his neck, your hand desperately tugging at his hair. "don't forget about me"
"I could never forget about you" he leaned forward, pressing his lips hard against yours, still holding your head in his hands. your hands dropped, falling into your lap as the kiss went softer, now only a desperate try to ignore the fact that you have to leave.
he finally let go, his eyes still closed. "I love you, baby girl. so damn much"
your heart shattered at his words, knowing that it's probably the last time you'll hear him say them, because in a few hours you'll be on your way back home, away from Australia and away from Luke. "I love you, too"
