(20) A Shocking Revelation.
"Okay, you've known me for a couple weeks and you haven't looked at any other girl or dated anyone else since you've met me. That's when you ask someone on a date." I informed Russell as he drove us to the restaraunt.
"You know a couple weeks is like more than 10 days, right?" Russell asked.
I shot him a glance. "Yeah, so?"
So what if I was blowing things out of proportion? Better too much then too little.
Russell cleared his throat uncomfortably. "Well, that's a long time to be with one girl, especially when I'm not even dating her, just trying to get her attention."
I rolled my eyes. "Normal guys do that, so shush."
"But I'm not normal." Russell muttered moodily.
"I said shush!" i said to the 5 year old sitting next to me.
Russell shot me a glare. "Stop telling me what to do!"
I glared back. "Your the one that listens!"
Russell narrowed his eyes at me and pulled into Julian Trust's parking lot going 50 miles per hour.
"Christ! Slow down!" I shouted, holding onto my seat. The valet parkers were waving their hands wildly, trying to get our attention.
Russell seemed to just get how fast he was going and slowed quickly.
He registered the valet parkers with a calm stare as they came up, knocking on his window.
He rolled the window down and didn't even flinch as the men shook their fist at him and spoke to him in rapid spanish.
I recognized the words "Carro", "Pandeja", and "Feo".
Not very charming, those parkers.
"They are so not getting a tip." Russell muttered as he handed them the keys.
I rolled my eyes, already regretting taking Russell here, and handed the 2 men a 10 dollar bill.
"Thanks." I said, shooting them a dazzling smile.
They immediately calmed and drove Russell's car away after handing me a slip of paper that got the car back.
"Your patience amazes me." Russell said as we followed the waitress that was directing us to our table.
I smiled. "Lesson number 1. Compliment her, but don't be too dramatic and sappy. That's sickening. So don't say 'your patience amazes me', play it down and say 'i like your patience.'"
Sure, that wasn't true, it actually made my heart beat against my rib cage, but I had to give him some bad advice somewhere. I die when I find out Russell has a perfect date. Saying, "I like your patience" and playing down compliments will surely leave him with an insecure date that fears she didn't live up to his standards.
Of course, it's not so he can fail at love. Of course, it's not so I can be the only girl that gives him the time of day.
Of course not.
Russell frowned. "You just told me to do something and then not to do it."
"Nuh uh!" I protested.
"Yeah huh!" Russell insisted. "It's like you told me to make a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich without the jelly."
I shook my head sadly. "You're too stupid to understand my words. It's like me telling you to make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with only a little jelly and only a little peanut butter."
