FYI: Her Hair isn't a genetic shade, it's purple. It will be explained why in the story

I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock going off. The very traditional and very obnoxious buzzing filled the entire room until I decided I'd had enough and turned it off with one whack of my hand. I let out a large yawn.  As if that had been the signal, 3 maids barged into to my room and dressed me in my everyday clothes. Once they were done they left without another word. Even though I was a 16 year old princess I don't think I would ever get used to royal treatment.

I walked to the bathroom where I brushed my teeth and then my hair. I came back out to my room and went through my luggage for yet the 12th time. I was a nervous wreck, thinking I might forget something. This would be my first ever time away from home, well besides the occasional trips to Domino to visit my Aunt Daphne and her family.
I live on Eraklyon with my Mother, Queen Bloom. Father, King Sky, and Two older siblings, Steven and Emma. My siblings and I have an okay relationship; we've never been super close or anything. I mean Steven is alright he's your average brother, but if it weren't for Emma he'd probably be better.    Emma is 18 years old, making her a year younger than Steven. She make sure that she gets everything she wants, and if for some reason she doesn't get something she'll always find a way to complain about it. She's also a control freak. Why else would Steven be the way he is?
Her main priority is to make my life miserable. You see unlike most fairies my age I don't know what my powers are. So I've never transformed or anything. Emma is always trying to prove she's better than me at everything, especially when it comes to magic. Which of course, she wins by a long shot, since she can actually do magic. She is usually teasing me, saying my power is probably some kind or flower or book fairy.
For years my parents have been trying to figure out what my powers are. They've read thousands of books, had tests taken on me, but nothing works. That's when my parents decided that I should attend Alfea. To discover who I was, and what I'm meant to do.
Carrying my two hot pink suitcases I exited my room and walked down to the Dining Hall. I put down my baggage and took a seat next to my mom at the table.
"Are you excited for you first day at Alfea, Amethyst?" My mom asked. I nodded. I wasn't a huge one on words, worried that Emma could use them against me.
"You'll be great sweetheart," Dad smiled at me. "Now eat, you don't want to start your first day on an empty stomach do you?"
I ate my breakfast, which consisted of Jam and Bread, Eggs, and a Cinnamon Roll.
"So Amethyst," I heard a familiar voice say. "How long before you think you'll be home? You know since you're afraid of being away from home." Emma said cynically.
I didn't say anything, and just continued eating my breakfast. But Emma is very persistent. "Come on Amethyst. Remember the last time you stayed over at Domino by yourself?"
I tried my best not to blush out of embarrassment. When I was 13 my Parents had been away at a royal meeting, but since I wasn't old enough to attend I was dropped off at Domino. Everything had been great until it came time to actually sleep. I was so scarred without my parents and the comfort of my own room. I ended up staying up the whole night and looked like a wreck the next morning. To be brief when my Aunt and Uncle were having an important meeting outside I came outside screaming and landed in the flower beds, immediately falling asleep.
"Come on, Emma don't not make her feel bad. Let Amethyst start this day off well," Steven instructed, Emma frowned at him, but obeyed.
"Steven is right Emma, today is a happy day and we should let Amethyst enjoy it," Dad agreed.
"Oh come on, we all know it's me that should be attending Alfea. I did get the scholarship didn't I," Emma smirked.
I pushed my plate away from me and left the dining hall with my bags in hand. "I've lost my appetite."
I was unpacking my stuff when there was a knock on the door, which I didn't respond to. They knocked again and this time the door opened. My mother stepped in.
"Amethyst? Are you alright honey?" She asked walking towards where I sat on my bed with my suitcases. I shook my head.
    "Is it true?" I whimpered.
    "Is what true?" She asked.
"Emma. Did she really get a scholarship to Alfea?"
Mom shook her head. "You know how Emma loves to toy with you. And don't worry; she's already been given her punishment for her actions."
"But, maybe she's right. Maybe I should stay here on Eraklyon."
"Normally I would say you should make our own choices, but not this time. Sweetie when I was at Alfea, I had the best time of my life and made some very good friends. And that's what I want for you,"
    I sighed. "Okay, I guess..."
Mom smiled, "I promise you won't regret this." Mom helped me re pack my suit case and used a magic spell to levitate them with us as we walked back out to the throne room where dad and Steven stood. I said my goodbyes to them all and grabbed my bags from the air, causing them to lose their magic flare.
Mom used a magic spell, and opened up a portal to Alfea. I took a deep breath and stepped through.
