Chapter 4: Who Are We Touring With Again?

Almost immediately after the four of you walked into the venue Scooter spotted your group. He talked to Charles, Danny and Travis for a minute about soundcheck and then he walked with you over to where the table was up, but not covered with merch yet. He went behind the table and grabbed his backpack and opened it up and handed you your ID. Then he said, "Do you still remember how the table is supposed to be set up?" "Yeah." you reply. "Alright then, I'll leave you to get this all taken care of and I'll go take care of other stuff." Scooter said. So you watched as he closed up his backpack and then ran off to another part of the venue. Then you covered the table and then spread out the merch and did everything that you needed to do. 

After you finish setting up you decide to walk around the venue and try to find We the Kings' green room. As you walk you try to remember who the other band that We the Kings was co-headlining with was(you hadn't watched the vlogs the past few days). You're walking by the doors into the seating area when you hear the opening lines to one of your favorite songs and you start to sing along "Say goodbye to the halls and the classes, say hello to a job and the taxes..."

After you had passed the door you realized that he song had stopped around the word "halls," along with all the other music and you rush back to the door. When you look through the window, sure enough you see them...All Time Low. You want to hang out and watch sound check, but you're not sure...until you spot Charles and Coley hanging out in the third row, kicked back in the seats and tweeting. So nervously you walk through the doors and down the aisle and sit down next to Charles as Alex, Jack, Rian and Zack start playing again. 

You wave to Coley and then Alex spots you. He says, "Gentlemen, we have been joined by a lady, we now have somebody to serenade." You laugh a little and he smiles at you and they begin to play Backseat Serenade. You, Coley, and Charles listened and talked and after All Time Low was done sound checking (they did one more song after Backseat Serenade and they were done) Coley and Charles went onstage to get ready for their soundcheck. As Coley and Charles were walking to the stage, Jack and Alex started walking towards you. As they pass Coley and Charles they high five them and talk to them for a minute before continuing your way. 

When they reach you Alex says, "Hi, I'm Alex." And Jack quickly adds, "and I'm Jack, what's your name?" You introduce yourself and mention that you're the merch girl for We the Kings. Alex and Jack look at each other and Alex says, "So you're Travis' girlfriend." You blush and say, "Yeah." smiling. Jack looks somewhere over your head and yells out "DAMMIT TRAVIS! When you said your girlfriend was beautiful we didn't think she was going to be this pretty!" With that you're pretty sure that your face went as red as Travis' hair and you look at the ground as Travis joins the group and puts his arm around you. He pulls you closer as he says, "Yeah, I totally don't deserve her. She's an amazing person." Then he looks to you and says, "Hey, do you want lunch or something, there's peanut butter, jelly, and bread in the green room." "Sounds great," you say, "but, where is the green room, exactly?" Travis looks over at the stage, Danny and Hunter had joined Charles and Coley now and they were all waiting on him adn he said, "Jack, Alex, can you guys show her where the green room is, I need to go sound check now, like everyone is waiting on me." "Yeah, totally." Alex says. "Thanks guys." Travis replies before giving you a quick kiss on the cheek and running over to the stage.

So you, Jack, and Alex walk out of the room and walk around the venue talking and make your way into the green room, which actually had a lot of blue in it. Jack and Alex move over to the left while you head towards where you spotted the PB&J supplies and as you start to open the peanut butter, you hear something that makes you almost drop the plastic knife in your hand.

You had heard someone else walk in the room and you thought it was probably Zack or Rian, until you heard Jack say, "Hi Vic." You whip around really quick and sure enough, there was Vic Fuentes, walking into the room. Finally, you remember that you could've just looked at your pass to see who was on the tour and sure enough it said "Just Keep Breathing World Tour: We the Kings, All Time Low, & Pierce the Veil" You try to keep from laughing, knowing that you would've nicknamed it the "Just Keep Breathing, Oops, Are You Ok? Tour" if you had known the lineup. You're taken back into the real world when you hear Alex say, "This is *your name* she's the merch girl for We the Kings, aka Trav's girlfriend." You get back to trying to make your sandwich and trying not to freak out or cry because all your heroes are on the same tour and remembering how badly you had wanted to go to Spring Fever the year before, but you didn't get to, and how similar this one was to it and that you were going to be there the entire time!!

As you made your sandwich Jack, Alex and Vic were talking and eating cookies that were in the green room too. You joined in the conversation after you finished eating your sandwich and you were all deep in conversation when We the Kings walked in, having finished soundcheck. Travis and Danny sit on either side of you while Charles, Coley and Hunter choose random spots in the room. You're all sitting around talking when the remaining three-fourths of Pierce the Veil and the remaining half of All Time Low walk in and Jaime says, "We heard that this was where the party was, and not our bus, may we join in?" So you are all hanging around having fun when Scooter walks in and calls you to come with him. 

You walk and talk, Scooter saying, "Ok, so it's half an hour till the doors open, and an hour until the show starts. We just need to check through everything at the merch table and make sure we're good on everything, then we can go back and have more fun for a while." So you both sat by the merch table, counting all the merch on the table and in boxes that weren't full, and the number of full boxes that were under the table. 

You're both done counting in twenty minutes and you both start to jog back to the greenroom because it took ten minutes to get to the section of the venue where you need a pass walking from the table and you don't want to get swept up in the sea of fans when the doors open. You make it to the security guard in seven minutes, flash your passes and slow down, walking the rest of the way to the green room. When you get in the room you automatically walk over to Travis and sit down next to him as Scott looks at his phone and says, "Doors are open now guys! Let's go, the show is almost sold out and the people in the ticket booth are saying that there are a lot of kids lined up buying tickets." Everyone cheers and you can physically feel the energy in the room starting to kick up. 

Ten minutes later Tony, Mike, Jaime and Vic walk out and start getting ready, stretching, warming up, and getting their in-ears in. Five minutes before the show starts, they walk past the door to the greenroom waving at everyone as they walk to the stage. You all wave back and wish them good luck. And sure enough, in five minutes, you hear the sound of their guitars and Mike's drums as they open up for the night.
