"So... You're sure I'll transform when you shoot at me...?" You looked at Kid warily, not sure if this was really safe.
He smiled and nodded his head, signaling for Liz and Patty to transform. They did, the Liz seemed hesitant.
"Are you sure about this Kid?" She questioned nervously. "(Name) could get seriously hurt..."
"She'll be fine. When she senses she's in danger her instincts will kick in and she'll transform."
You bit your lip, watching the young reaper closely.
Kid decided that trying to kill you was the best way to jog your memory. Needless to say you were a tad skeptical.
Maka, Soul, Taubaki, Black*Star, and Crona were gathered off to the side, also seeming skeptical.
Besides Black*Star.
"Ready?" Kid pointed his pistols at you.
"No."
"Perfect."
Instantly, he began shooting at you. Your eyes widened and you tried to jump out of the way but the bullets were... Not bullets...? They looked like little blasts of light.
What the hell is wrong with this world?
"Come on (name)!" Maka called. "You can do it!"
You screamed, running around and trying to avoid what was obviously your inevitable death.
Fifteen minutes of running and screaming later, you collapsed on the ground. There were bruises on your legs; not from being hit. Nope.
You fell.
"This obviously isn't working." Liz sighed from inside the magic gun. "Maybe we should just try something else."
To your surprise, Black*Star stood beside you, holding out his hand and smirking.
"You can do it, (name). If the almighty Black*Star says so, then it has to be true. Come on, we can beat Kid. You just have to focus." He paused for a moment, then looked back at you. "I trust you."
There was a strange feeling in your chest. It wasn't nerves... It made you feel powerful. You tried focusing on that power and intensifying it, grinning when the feeling began to grow and encase your entire body. It was then that you could feel yourself changing into something.
A weapon...?
