You could feel your body changing rapidly, and it was almost... Soothing... It felt natural. Within half a second you could feel your skin cooling and your muscles relaxing. It felt like you were floating.
Once you opened your eyes, you saw that everything was normal. But when you turned to Black*Star, you noticed that he was looking down at you.
"Ready (name)?"
You smirked back at him.
"Ready."
Black*Star spun the weapon in his hands, a long war scythe with a shiny silver blade, then charged at Kid. He swung, but the young reaper dodged at the last minute. Kid began firing you you and Black*Star as Black*Star easily evaded each shot. He brought the scythe I've his head, swinging it down so quickly that you felt the rush of cool wing blow around you.
But Kid dodged it again.
The battle continued on this way, both sides attacking and dodging, until the meisters were panting heavily from the hard work.
"How about... A draw...?" Kid tossed his twin pistols in the air before they morphed back into his two partners.
Black*Star reluctantly nodded, letting you transform back into your usual self, (h/c) locks and shining (e/c) orbs visible once more.
"Wow," Maka chuckled. "Great job guys. (name), you and Black*Star were in perfect sync!"
You blushed slightly, rubbing the back of your neck.
Black*Star threw his arm over your shoulder. "We make a pretty good team, huh?"
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves!" Tsubaki spoke up. When you looked at her you noticed she seems a little nervous. "A-After all, (name) has her own meister out there somewhere looking for her!"
"So that means you can get off of her Black*Star."
Soul cast a bored gaze at his friend, eyeing the unnecessary physical contact.
