We set out three days later for the Rihne river to cross into Germany. We came to Hitlers last bridge. on one side was the Germans and we were on the other our tanks where artillery support as the men crossed. Slamming shell after shell across the river we knocked out two tanks and sunk a barge. We crossed the bridge into Germany two hours later. that's it we're on our way to Berlin. It took a long time to get here but we did the war is almost over.
