Wesley's pov.

I sighed, intertwining my hands together.

"Look, Lia. First I want to apologize about everything that has happened, recently."I started, looking into her eyes.

She nodded, motioning for me to continue.

"I never told anyone that you we're the reason for the fire happening, I never told anyone anything"

"Then tell me Wesley, how did everyone find out in the first place"Lia, said anger lacing her voice.

I sighed, looking down."I was talking to my boss and someone must've overheard. But I didn't tell anyone"

"But you told your boss"She stated.

"No, he already knew."I said, looking up from my lap.

She nodded"Okay, but why we're you ignoring me, these past few weeks?"She asked, softly.

"Because some of the people who were in the fire, surrived. They were looking for me, and I couldn't risk you being hurt"I stated, scanning her facial features in search for any emotion.

"The guy who shot me"She said calmy, glancing down at her stomach.

I nodded my head slightly"Yeah, the guy who shot you. But don't worry, he's gone, I saw him being put in the police car"

She nodded her head, glancing at her stomach again. I sighed, looking down. "It's gonna be okay, Lia"

Two weeks, later.

Wesley's pov.
I intertwined my hands together as I leaned forward in my chair waiting anxiously for my boss Anthony to call me back in his office.

I've been thinking about Lia a lot recently and with her getting shot, well that was all on me. I was the reason he shot her, I tried everything I could to stay away from her so this wouldn't happen, but It did.

If only there was someway I could keep Lia safe, even if that meant losing all contact with her.

I'm willing to do almost anything to keep her safe.

"Wesley, Anthony will see you now" Anthony's assistant Emmett said, walking away.

I stood up from the chair, crossing over to the other side of the building placing my hand on the doorknob, turning it slightly pushing the door in.

"Wesley, how have you been doing lately?"Anthony called, standing up from his chair pushing it in walking acrossed the room towards me.

I turned around closing the door behind me before strolling over towards the chair and siting down.

I shrugged"Okay, I guess"

Anthony sat in the chair beside me and sighed"I heard about Lia, I'm really sorry about Wesley"he spoke with sympathy lacing his voice.

I shrugged, glancing down towards my lap.

"Look, these people aren't gonna stop coming after Lia as long as she still hangs around with you, there's away we can make them stop coming after Lia, but you can't have any contract with her"Anthony spoke.

"Okay, what is it?"I asked, leaning forward.

"Chances are that, these people are stalking you, they know where you live, they know where you go to school, the people that you hang out with"

"You need to make a scene so that they can hear you, you need to basically say that Lia meant nothing to you and you don't want anything else to do with her"

I felt my heartbeat speed up and the palms of my hands begin to sweat, I wiped them off on my pants and nodded my head.

"Okay, I'll do it. But I'm only doing this to keep her safe, I don't want anyone to know but I've actually kinda started to like her, like a lot" I said, looking down towards my lap.

Lia's pov.
I sighed glancing out the of the window, as I lay on the bed in my room. I've been on bedrest since the day I got home from the hospital, which was about a week ago.

I picked up my book, flipping through the pages, not bothering to read it. I've been reading for seven days straight, and I don't have any cable, plus my phone is out of minutes so basically all I've been doing is reading and sleeping.

Sometimes Wesley and Julia come over for a while, but they don't stay very long given that Julia has preschool to attend to and Wesley has school and work.

Speaking of Wesley and Julia, they usually would've been around by now. Maybe they're just busy, I'm sure they'll come over soon.

I haven't really talked to anyone else in a long time, Eden and I never really talk anymore and she was pretty much the only friend I had till Wesley came, well and Rayden but let's not get into that again right now.

I yawned, leaning my head against the pillow, pulling the blanket up toward me more.

I snuggled against the blanket and pillow, getting comfortable before letting sleep invade me.

A/N;  Do I even have the right to say hello right now? I'm so sorry it's been a month or maybe over, but I've been trying to write this chapter for a long time but It never turned out the way I wanted it too.

Plus I just started Highschool, so I've been a little busy with that lately.

But anyways, I really hope you enjoyed this chapter, another one will be up soon I promise I won't make you wait like another month or over.
