Cora and Robert danced at least 3 times. Even though many young Men had tried to cut in to dance with Cora, Robert told them all to beat it. After over an hour of dancing Cora was tired and flustered. Robert noticed.

"Miss Levinson, are you well?". he asked. "No, I am not Viscount Downton. I'm feeling rather worn out. Must be from all the dancing. Do you mind if I step outside for some air?" Cora asked as she took out her fan.

"Of course, I was just about to ask you that very question" Robert answered. He walked with Cora outside and headed towards the garden. They passed a waiter and both grabbed a flute of champagne. As they walked up the gravel path they talked about their family, their childhood and most of all their dreams. Robert and Cora hadn't realized how far they walked until there wasn't a person in sight. They came across the Angel of the Fountain. Robert signaled for Cora to sit and they sat down on the edge of the fountain.

Cora put her hand in the water which caused ripples. Robert was mesmerized by Cora's beauty. She looked up to see Robert staring at her.

"What is it Viscount Downton? Cora questioned. Robert smiled attentively. "Please call me Robert and I just can't get over how beautiful you are Miss Levinson". Cora smile grew wide and her cheeks were warm. "Thank you Robert" she paused and took a sip of champagne "and Robert please call me Cora". Robert looked to the ground and tried to hide his excitement. Cora looked back at the fountain and all the acres of the garden.

"Isn't so peaceful. The view is breath taking".

"Yes it is. It's even more alluring from where i'm sitting". Robert wasn't talking about the view. He was talking about Cora.

Cora immediately stood up and walked a couple of steps away from Robert, her back to him. Robert got up and placed his flute of champagne on the edge of the fountain and walked towards Cora. He stood behind her. She turned slightly.

"Robert, I know we recently met but do you think I might see you again soon?". Cora asked whilst biting her bottom lip. Robert was unsure how to respond, so he acted instead. He turned Cora to face him, lifted her chin so that she was looking into his eyes. They both leaned in and Robert could smell her sweet perfume. It tingled his senses. He placed his arms on her waist and pulled Cora closer to him so that she was in his protective hold.

There lips then pressed onto each other lightly. Cora then wrapped her arms around his neck. They kissed for about a minute when Robert pulled away to come up for air. Cora looked at him with a huge smile.

"I hope that answered your question Cora". She was delighted. "Yes it does" Cora replied rather exasperated. "I'm glad" Robert replied as he looked at Cora's hair blowing in the wind.

Cora then spoke up. " I think we should be heading back Robert. Don't want our socially ambitious Mother's wondering were we got to do we?" Cora teased whilst be tactful.

Robert looked deflated until Cora put her hand on top of his. "Yes your right Cora. Shall we?" he asked a she held out his arm.

"We shall". Cora grabbed the crook of Robert's arm and they headed back.
