They hold hands.
They laugh together.
They flaunt their other.
They act oh so happy.
But truly there was no one who made her feel more loved than him.
"Together forever." he would say, "Even after death, shall you always remain the one I love."
He promised to never let her fall, to always be there to catch her.
Yes they also held hands, laughed together, told people about how much they loved their other, but what was different was, she felt something.
When she first laid eyes on him, she thought she knew who he was. Another jerk who would break her heart, just like the rest. But she soon learned, oh how wrong she was.
Caring.
Sweet.
Complementing.
Thoughtful.
Funny, in ways sometimes only she'd understand.
Helpful.
But most of all.
He had one trait that none of the others did.
He was loving.
Everyday, she would find him waiting for her at the park bench.
Greeted with a smile.
Swept into a hug.
Lured in to a lingering kiss.
Told, promised to always be held.
And forever as he did that, she never felt anything less than heaven.
It was that one day that made her realize, there is someone for everyone.
"Wait!" He yelled out as she was walking away.
She turns around, then walks back to where he was standing.
"I have to tell you something." He took her pale hands in his & said, "I know we haven't known each other for a long, but what I do know is, what I'm feeling right here, right now is real." He stops to take a breath. "What i'm trying to say is." (Pause for dramatic affect) "I love you."
She doesn't say anything, she doesn't move, all she can do is hope he doesn't see the single tear falling from her eyes & get the wrong idea.
"I-I" She stutters, "I think," She stops, looks down & shakes her head. He lightly lifts her head, finger under her chin, looking at her longingly. "I love you too."
After that day, everything went down hill.
She found out she was moving.
He found out he didn't have long.
She realized she didn't wanna part from him, but had to.
He didn't want to leave her, ever, but knew it wasn't in his control.
She would spend the morning packing as fast as she could.
He would spend the night holding her tight.
For as long as they could, they staid together. Every waking moment was thought of the other.
But then one fateful day, the worst happened.
While they were spending there last day together, though they were naive of it, he couldn't breath.
Lights flashing.
People panicking.
Loved ones crying.
Doctors trying.
Nurses helping.
He held on, long enough for the doctors to think he was stable.
So he told of his request to see her.
"Come here." He whispered.
She slowly walked to the side of his bed, taking his hand & trying to smile through the tears.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you."
"No, no. Don't think like that." She wiped a stray tear with her free hand.
"I love you, you know that?"
"For as long as this heart of mine beats & so on," She smiled, "I love you too."
She staid with him, until his end.
Forever, she told him, & forever she did.
Not one moment went by that she didn't think of him.
Charming smile.
Encouraging personality
Deep green eyes.
Blond wavy hair.
That humor she couldn't get enough of.
His constant love for her.
Never did she truly forget the day he told her "I love you", neither every day before, or any day after.
"I love you forever & always." Where her last words.
Now after being apart for so long, together again they shall remain.
"I love you & never shall you forget that."
