Chapter 18: Last String

Gokudera was barely holding on to just stand properly on the spot. His body were full of wounds and even blood started to coming out pretty much that stained his clothes. As much as he want to deny, he right now is in the state can't fight properly.

He backed away, while Ken and Chikusa didn't have any much wounds to make them fall. Ken just laughing at his state as he accidentally fall to a small stairs and lay down on the floor without any sign of trying to move.

Gokudera look up to the ceiling. Realizing he could no longer move his body to fight now.

'Shit... I can't... Move my body.'

Just then, a bird was flying when he realized it was the yellow bird Hibari's keeping flying and stopped on the spot while saying. "Done in! Done in!"

Even he feels irritated he just got laughed by a mere bird. He gritted his teeth in frustration.

'What am I the right arm of 10th boss...! I'm of no use at all shit...! Shit!'

Tsuna face came up to his mind that fulls of worries and hope that he would be safe and will come back to his side.  He feels he betrayed Tsuna trust and that make him even more frustrated.

He made The Tenth he treasure the most is worried about him. He couldn't bear it.

But then, another face came up in his mind.

"...Mahiru, I'm scared."

Miharu face came up with that pained expression when she saw him battered up in wounds and scratches from the fight. She was visibly genuinely upset, and most of it, her expression telling she was frustrated at herself. Gokudera noticed, and somehow. He doesn't want to make her those expression again.

Along with the earlier words from her, he didn't thought he would see the girl who was all confidence and brave was saying those words. But then again, she's different from him who got used to this world. She's just... a normal girl.

That's why he at least felt... want to reassure her and not worry about him.

"...Damn it. I'm pathetic."

Then, Hibird suddenly singing the Namimori's hymne. Meaning something, Gokudera realized what's happening he slightly smirked and feel want to laugh. Familiar of why the bird singing that.

He laughed while Ken and Chikusa approaching him in confuse as why the guy laughing. "He still want to fight?" Ken spat out, didn't wary of anything.

Then Gokudera grab one of his dynamites and throw it towards the wall behind him as it exploded, causing the wall to crumbled.

"Gyahaha! Where are you aiming for!" Ken was thinking of this situation is a funny one. But Chikusa notice something across the wall.

"Heh... The only lame guy who'd love our school anthem... has to be you." Gokudera said, seemed talking to someone other than the two.

When the smoke from the wall disappeared, someone was sitting on the floor as they realized who it is.

"Isn't that..."

"Namimori Junior High Head Prefect. Hibari Kyouya."

Hibari head went up with his usual expression but more wounded as he stand up, holding his tonfas. "I could've went out by myself but oh well..." Gokudera could only snickered.

"Shall I take care of those two animals?" He said gazed at the two in front. "Whatever you want." Gokudera replied with a smirk, seemingly have a hope on Hibari unusually.

"What's the hell that half dead sleeping bastard talking about? Heh, I'll beat him up." Ken said already prepared for his fang while Chikusa let him do it. "The King of The Animal World, Lion Channel!" He said as his appearance changed to something like Lion's like appearance. Hibari response to that is just, "Woof, Is the Puppy up first?"
