I watched as Jacob walked closer and closer to the table Lena and I were sitting at. My eyes were transfixed on his face. I could tell he was from Florida; he had a golden tan, while I was as pale as a ghost.
How did I not realize they were twins? They had the same tan, blue eyes, and height. The only difference was their hair. Lena's was blond with some unnatural highlights, while Jacob's was brown.
As Jacob sat down across from Lena, he looked at me with his beautiful eyes for a split second. He smiled at me with perfect teeth and I nearly melted. I smiled back uneasily, and tucked a strand of puffy hair behind my ear. I knew I didn't look spectacular, but at least he noticed me.
I shook my head inwardly. Why should I care if some dude from Florida notices me? But I did, and I can't help it.
"Jacob! This is Laura! I just met her, and she told me she was in honors, just like you! I bet you guys have another class together. This class is your chance to get to know each other!" Lena exclaimed. She looked from me to him, her eyes dancing with what I could only describe as pure cheerfulness.
Jacob rolled his eyes playfully at his sister. He leaned closer to me.
"She could get pretty annoying sometimes," he fake whispered.
"Yeah, I noticed." I said. He laughed. Lena hit both of us in the shoulder.
"You know we were only joking, right?" Jacob said with a smile.
"Of course." Lena laughed.
My art teacher cleared her throat. We all shut up and looked at her. She smiled brightly at us.
"Welcome students!" She exclaimed. "I am going to be your art teacher for the rest of this year. My name is Ms. Clearwater. Welcome to art class!
"Today we will be painting fireworks. Whoever has the most beautiful firework will be getting a special prize!"
"Sure, a prize. What's it gonna be, a ribbon or something?" said Jacob in his fake tone. I laughed.
"I know I'm small, but I'm not in kindergarten," I replied in a hushed tone. Jacob snorted. He opened his mouth to reply.
Ms. Clearwater cleared her throat. Our heads snapped up to find her glaring at us. "Who would like to give out the art supplies?" asked Ms. Clearwater.
A hand shot up from the back of the classroom. A girl with blue glasses, dark brown hair, green eyes and had rainbow braces was sitting at table that looked like the nerd table.
"Ooooohhhhhh, I would like to give out the supplies Ms. Clearwater!" exclaimed the girl.
"Can my friend Alex help too?" she said while gesturing her hand towards a tall red head with black braces.
"Sure, sure, the both of you can help bring out the supplies for the class! And may I ask what your name is?" said Ms. Clearwater.
"My name is Alexis." the girl said with a cheery tone.
"I feel like I'm back in first grade." I said with an annoyed voice.
After the art supplies was handed out, I looked at the clock. It read 8:30. Great. 30 minutes to go until this period ends.
A/N: Hey. So it's finally done! Hope you enjoy. Please vote and comment! Peace!
