Chapter 3: Make A Splash

Today was the day of all the competitions in sports and outdoor activities. Zack and Caroline were on a team against Nikki and Spencer for basketball. "We're gonna beat the crap outta you guys," Caroline said to Nikki and Spencer with a smirk. "You wish!" Spencer replied.

They started walking together to the mess hall, where they would eat breakfast. They all sat with their own cabins. "Is Spencer gonna ask you to the dance?" Caroline asked Nikki.
"I don't know. Even though I forgave him, things are still a little bit awkward between us," Nikki replied sadly. "That's ok, he'll ask you. Don't worry," Caroline said comforting Nikki.

"How about Zack? Is he gonna ask you to the dance?" Nikki asked. "I...guess," Caroline said. "Are you kidding? He can't even go one minute without making out with you!" Nikki exclaimed.
"Well... Yeah, but...I don't wanna jinx it," Caroline replied insecurely.

After breakfast, Nikki and Caroline headed back to their cabin to get dressed and then left to their classes. Everyone at camp has three classes a day and after that the campers can either go by the lakeside or play sports.

Nikki and Caroline split up to go warm up for the basketball game. Nikki joined Spencer and Caroline went by Zack. "You ready to crush them, babe," Caroline said. "Well...I'm kinda low on energy," Zack said smiling. Caroline laughed. She kissed him hard on the lips. "That's better," Zack said laughing, "Now I'm ready!" They both laughed.

Nikki and Spencer were quiet for alittle bit until Spencer spoke up. "I understand that you haven't fully forgiven me, but can we please just play a good game?" Nikki nodded and grabbed the ball "Hey! Stop making out with my friend and come play the damn ball!" Caroline rolled her eyes. Nikki started dribbling the ball and passed to Spencer which Caroline intercepted. "Nikki!" Spencer yelled grabbing Nikki carrying her, and started running to the lake where people where swimming. "S-Spencer! Stop!" She gripped onto his shirt tightly,shivering. He chuckled and whispered, "Your too cute," and he threw her in the lake. Caroline and Zack were running down the hill watching Spencer.

"Spencer what the hell!" Caroline screamed. Nikki was sitting in the lake and she swam to where Spencer was standing and grabbed his foot pulling him in. Zack and Caroline were laughing so hard. "That's what you get!" Nikki smirks. Spencer leaned down to kiss Nikki but,  she splashed his face. She started walking out of the lake when Spencer grabbed her arm. "Nikki, will you go to the dance with me?" She looked down but she raised her head. "Okay." Spencer smiled.

Zack and Caroline jumped in, too. "This is just like last night!" Caroline said excitedly to Zack. Spencer was confused, "Last night? What exactly happened last night?" Both Caroline and Zack looked at each other. "Um...Nothing happened," Caroline said panicking. "You guys went late night swimming past curfew!" Spencer said shocked.
"Maybe we did!" Zack said defensively.
"Oooooooo! Late night swimming, alone!" Spencer said. Nikki laughed.

"Dude! Your disgusting!" Zack said to Spencer. Everybody laughed. "Your so cute, Zack!" Caroline said. "Your even cuter!" Zack said back. "Come on Spencer! Let's go before Caroline starts running her fingers through Zack's hair," Nikki said chuckling. Caroline looked offended, but she laughed instead. Zack smiled.

They got out of the pool and went to arts and crafts. When arts and crafts was halfway done, Zack approached Caroline with a rose in his hand. "Can I have everybody's attention?" Zack yelled out loud. Caroline looked confused. Everyone in the room had their eyes on Caroline and Zack. "Caroline, every time I look into your eyes, I fall in love with you all over again. Will you make me the happiest camper here and go to the dance with me?" Zack offered her the rose. Caroline stood up, grabbed the rose, and kissed Zack on the lips.

Even the art teacher was tearing up. After art class, Caroline gave Zack a bracelet with her name on it and Zack gave her a bracelet with his name on it.

After Nikki took a shower, she dressed into leggings and a maroon t-shirt. She tied her wet hair into a bun and saw Caroline run in with a rose. "What the hell?" Nikki said.
"Zack gave it to me!" Nikki nodded.

After dinner, campfire began. Nikki needed to go to the bathroom. After she came out she felt cold hands around her neck. "SPENCER!" Well she thought it was Spencer. She turned to see Aiden. "W-what do you want!" He sighed and pulled Nikki close to him. "Leave me alone!" Nikki closed her eyes and tried leaving his arms when she heard a loud punch.

It was actually Spencer and he punched Aiden! "Spencer!" She hugged him tightly shivering. He took his warm, larger hoodie off and put it on Nikki. "Thanks." Spencer smiled and smoothed Nikki's hair calming her beating heart. "That little-" Spencer was cut by Nikki kissing him on her tip toes. He smirked and took her hands. "Come on, campfire's almost done." Nikki nodded and followed Spencer.

Spencer and Nikki sat down next to Caroline and Zack. Caroline whispered to Nikki. "Where were you?" Nikki sighed "Long story. I'll tell you in the cabin."
