Chapter Fifteen
I was still mad at Alejandro for what he did to me. He could have goes came and talk to me before acting out. Obviously, I would have been upset but I would have understood. It would have been weird for a little while but we would have worked it out but now I don't think that I would be able to see him again let alone be his friend. I'm was so hurt by this and the worst part of all this is that everyone knows about it. I can't walk down a hallway without people asking me if I'm OK like they actually care and not trying to get more information from me about what happened.
Going to school the next day was horrible. One of Alejandro's ex-girlfriends stopped me in the hallway to welcome me into the club. That was just the tip of the iceberg. I was getting pity looks from everyone and I hate being looked at with pity. My skin was crawling with all of the eyes on me. I just wanted to be anywhere but here. When it was lunch, I got all of my things and left school.
I was in the mall's food court eating and thinking if I should skip the two last periods. When someone sat next to me, in that moment I obviously wasn't in the mood for company. I was going to tell the person off but they spoke to me before I could. "Why in the hell are you sitting at a table all by yourself for? To be honest you look pathetic."
"I normally never agree with Mary but she is kind of right." I turn my head to face my two friends Mary and Phoene.
"How did you find me?"
"I followed the smell of self-pity and I figured that you would be here for food," Mary said.
"Ok someone has been using their stocker skills."
"Ha ha ha very funny." Mary fake laugh at what I said. Phoene and Marry went around the table to sit in front of me. "So...?" I said to them.
"What...?"
"So what are you doing here?" I asked them.
"We came to see how you're doing?" Phoene answered.
"She came to see how you're doing but I came to help you get revenge. I have a couple of good ideas but I wanted to hear yours first." As Mary said this she was practically bursting with excitement.
"Somebody is a little too excited about this whole thing aren't you," I told her.
"Obviously I'm not excited that he cheated on you but like you can't say that you didn't expect this to happen."
"Yes, because I knew that he was going to cheat on me. It was so obvious."
"I totally didn't mean it in that way," Mary said to me.
"I know."
"So how do you want to get revenge?"
"Why would you even think that I would want revenge?"
"Because he's still breathing. I would have hit him with a car if I was you he would probably be in the hospital."
"Don't you think that you're exaggerating a bit?" Phoene added her opinion to the conversation. "By the way where would you get this car? Because you don't have one."
"She has a point," I said.
"I have my ways," Mary said.
"Ooh okay! And I'm just not you. I'm not saying that I forgive him for what he did but I just can't keep being angry at him because it's not going to change the fact that he cheated on me." I pause to keep myself from crying. "I have to move on. Because being angry at him for something that was 'obviously' going to happen is not going to help me with that."
They just looked at me. Phoene spoke first.
"Well, I'm glad that you're not still angry at him because it would suck that you weren't friends with him anymore."
"Oh, I'm still mad at him and I would love for him to get hit by a car. After all of this, I don't and I can't be friends with him anymore." Marry laugh and Phoene and I joined in which broke the tension.
Mary still laughing said, "I was starting to think that you were going nuts."
After that, we talked for a bit about Phoene's Instagram and walked back to school. I would probably take me a while before I fully forgive him but in the meantime, I'm Just going to have to forget.
...
The school year was almost over. I just had one more half day of a math exam.
I was in the living room with my sister studying for French. When my dad called me into the kitchen. Getting all of the books of my lap, I got up to go see what he wants. He was helping my mom to cook.
"You called me?"
"Yes."
"What for?" I leaned on the kitchen table to listen to what he had to say.
"I and your mother were thinking about you changing schools and we think that you should be allowed to make your own decision."
"So, you guys are saying that I don't have to change schools?"
My mom answered me," Yes we are saying that. Now do you want to change or not?"
I had a choice and I made the smartest decision. "I think that I'm going to...
