Chapter Eight

In front of my house, I realized that it was 3:38 in the morning. How was I suppose to get in? Unlike Alejandro who can just walk into his house and his mom won't say anything because she's a deep sleeper or Mary who her parents are too busy groping each other to pay any attention to what their daughter is going. Her words, not mine.

I would have to snake in. Walking up the three stairs in of my house. I unlock the door and slowly turned the door knob so that I would not make noise. Before I could do anything the door opens on it is own and on the other side, it was my older sister.

"Did I scare you?"

"What are you doing up?"

"I wanted to scare you." She said it was arrogant tone.

Walking past her I said, "Don't tell mom."

"You owe me a favour." I said sure and went to my room.

Before I went to bed, I text Alejandro.

Wed at 2:56 AM

I'm home goodnight!

I fell asleep right after I sent the text.

Keeping with his promise. Alejandro did not tell anybody about as but that did not stop him from trying to convince me to change my mind. I did not want to tell anyone because I was scared of what would happen if everyone knew. Plus it was getting harder not to grab his face and kiss him and I think that my friends were starting to suspect something.

Alejandro said that our 'first date' did not count so the next week he toke me out on a date. He texted me saying call me. I was with my sister when he texted me. We were watching a movie when it vibrated on the table next to her.

"Can you answer it." She started to read it in this irritating. She was acting like a love sick puppy.

She said, "Athena Athena! My one true love. You must go on a date with me. Please accept my request."

I just looked at her and said, "Give me my phone." And she gave it to me. I read the real message.

It really said, "Athena I really what to go on a date with you. Please say yes!" I texted him back sure. The next day he brought me to a restaurant.

"Aren't you happy that you gave me a chance?"

"Yeah! You can say that."

I hear a girly voice say, "Wow! You guys are so cute together. Now the whole school can know about you guys." I look at Alayna who is one of his ex's.

"Alayna what are you doing here?" Putting her phone in here pocket she answered.

"I'm here with my dad."

"Can you forget that we were here and not post it on snapchat."

"Because where friend." She laughs a little at what Alejandro said.

"We're not friend. Did you forget that you broke up with me?"

"Come on!"

"Sorry I already posted it on my story," Her sorry was so not sincere. "Well, that is my cue to leave." And walked to go see her dad.

"Athena, I'm so sorry."

"For?"

"For what just happened. I'll just tell everyone..."

"What...? It's fine."

"Are you sure?"

"It was fun but all good things must come to an end."

"Don't say that because it's not a way true."

"I guess."

"I'm happy."

"Why?"

"Because we're not a secret anymore."

"Of course, you'll be happy that everyone knows about as."

"Why wouldn't I be." He leaned across the table and kissed me softly.

"Don't worry nothing bad is going to happen."

I just hope that... he is right. I just don't what anything to happen with what we have now but I have faith that it is going to work out somehow.
