As the months followed each other, everyday life flowed calmly, without tension... Until a certain moment when everything changed. She had finished her lessons when the headmistress knocked on the door with a sad expression painted on her face. She was holding a letter with a blue wax seal. Such a colour, this combination of hail and green came from her home, from her parents, only they used such candles.
What happened?

" It came from home. Your father sent it."

She took the letter, carefully peeled off the seal with the small paper cutter, and read her father's words with trembling hands.

No, she couldn't. Aunt Peggy... She had abandoned them. How would she tell Steve? No... Her grandfather..

"Go to the human part of Scotland and make a phone call."

She immediately ran to the area where the magic didn't work. To pass as a normal person, she wore simple, black, baggy pants with a long burgundy blouse and a long coat in the same colour as the pants. She entered a shop and suddenly all eyes turned to her. She asked to make a phone call because hers was supposedly out of battery.

"Yes?"

"My love? How are you?"

"Did you hear?"

"Yes, my parents sent me a letter."

"How is your grandfather?"

"My parents are struggling to tell him. I'll go back in a few days so I can tell him. We hope that he will take it more calmly if I am by his side. But how are you?"

"I'm fine." His voice was shaking. He was ready to cover up, but didn't want to show it in front of her. She was already emotionally burdened and couldn't bear to add any more weight to it.

"Steve... I love you so much. We'll get through this together."

"Yes, my love.

" My parents wrote that the funeral will take place in England. Please, I beg you, stay at our house.

"Okay."

The next few days were spent in agony for Alice. She was constantly worried about how her grandfather was doing and how he would cope with such a loss. The loss of his friend had cost him a lot, and now he was losing the only person from that time who supported him like Tony's father.

The funeral would be held on Friday morning in London, Peggy's hometown. A day before, Alice, with Professor McGonagal's permission, left to attend the sad event and return on Monday.

The sun hung high in the bright blue sky, casting a warm golden glow over the sprawling grounds of the Scamander family mansion as the team's helicopter touched down on the lush, manicured lawn. Richard Scamander, with an affable smile, emerged from the grand entrance of the mansion, his wife by his side, radiating a sense of warmth and hospitality. They stood ready to welcome their guests.
