While the daily bustle of life among the desks continued around her, she found herself detached from it all. The lively voices of the third-year students resonated through the castle walls, filtering into the corridor and creating an atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm and camaraderie. Perhaps this vibrant energy could inspire her to engage more with her surroundings and find her place within this thriving community.
"How important is laughter in a person's life? The answer is a lot. It not only helps in longevity and living well but can also fight things that the human mind did not expect, such as fear."
As she made her way between the desks, she arrived at her own and settled in, warmly welcoming the students to another morning lesson. She focused on creating a relaxed atmosphere while still upholding the seriousness and rigor that her students required for effective learning.
"One of today's spells that we will see is the well-known as ridiculous. A spell useless for many, but when the time comes to face it, you would prefer to have paid attention in class."
The students laughed. With a wave of her wand, she brought the wardrobe with the monster in front of her and asked the students to move away from the desks, which, with a soft wave, faced the walls and windows.
"Do you know what is inside?" No one answered. A hand timidly raised itself, but the answer was wrong.
"Our particular guest is called a Boggart. He is an unusual monster that takes the form of what we fear. So if you fear snakes, birds or anything else, the Boggart will take its form."
A few exclamations. Expressions of fear were imprinted on their faces. How terrifying to have to face your greatest fear? Just the thought makes your body shudder; imagine having to face someone.
"I know very well how you feel and what you think. I've been through this phase. But you should know that there is a way to fight it and that is... Laughter."
Most were curious about her answer. Mixed emotions; how was it possible to laugh to make the fear go away?
"You'll understand what I mean. Well, repeat after me. Ridiculous." The students repeated. "Loud and clear, please. Ridiculous."
"Ridiculous."
"Very nice guys! What do we do in such cases? Of course, we let the imagination run wild so that the laughter can ring." She put on some circus music and started dancing. "The Boggart will take the form of what you fear as soon as it comes out. The first thing you will do is think of something funny and give that form to the creature. You will understand in practice."
She opened the mirror and suddenly Nagini's form slithered out of there and started moving towards Alice. She tried to think of the form of a snake and not death or Voldemort so as not to scare the children even more. With just one word, Nagini started sneezing, blowing bubbles from her mouth while suddenly she started to inflate like a balloon ready to burst.
