(3rd pov)

By now everyone was on the beach of the island that stood still. They were all saying their final good byes to each other. The kids were gathered in their own circle while the adults were minding their own business. The boys were crying of course while the girls were strong, with the exception of Kushina.

Shin was laughing as Haruki held him and Daito close under his arms while Tori was keeping him away from trapping her in a group hug.

In the midst of this happy yet tragic moment, Shin noticed someone was missing. His laughter slightly ceased when he turned his head to see the person he was looking for standing alone at the edge of the shore.

He made his way towards her without the group noticing at all. He quietly walked up beside her. Her red hair that was in a pony tail lightly blew in the wind while her bangs framed her impassive expression stared at the shore.

Shin stared at her for a few moments before looking out on sea as well.

"This'll be the last time in awhile till we can see each other again..."He said with hidden sadness.

"It would seem." was Ira's emotionless response.

"So what are you going to do when you get back home?"

Ira sighed as she crossed her arms and frowned slightly. "The Sand council will no doubt be in turmoil once my father tells them the news. More then likely I'll be doing a lot of missions without Haruki to find her."

Shin instantly became rigid as images flashed in his head about when Ira was dying.

"You're really going to go after her..." he asked her with a strained voice as his bangs covered his eyes.

"It's my duty as a ninja to ensure the safety of my village." She responded. Shin turned to her with a slightly blank yet concerned face. "I doubt your father will send you," he said with sureness. Ira raised an eyebrow and face him.

"Why do you think that?"

"You were nearly killed the last time you fought, what father would he be to send his daughter in danger."

"It isn't his choice."

"What?"

Ira sighed at Shin's cluelessness and decided to explain.

"My father is the Kazekage and when it comes down to it, he'll be forced by the council members to send his best ninja out there and start looking. I've already been told I've been promoted to Jounin level. Haruki isn't Chunnin so I doubt he'll be sent out-"

"That isn't the point!" Shin suddenly shouted. Ira was slightly taken about by his outburst. "What are you getting so mad about?" She questioned.
