It was a big surprise to both of us that we were actually getting along like old times and haven't ripped each other's heads off just yet. We had been talking about what we have been doing during this time and I was happy to hear that she is doing fine and apparently remembered some stuff, not about me, but I don't really mind, I'm just happy she is getting her memory back.

"Yeah... It was weird like always, comes out of nowhere like it just had always been there." She tells me, sounding a bit weird like she was keeping something from me, but I won't ask, I can't take a risk to get into a fight with her again. I want this night to end well, know we ended it good terms, even if I don't want this to end. I want this to last forever.

"I heard you were working on new music." She says after I haven't said anything for a minute. I get caught up with my thoughts, which are all about her, and sitting this close to each other doesn't help me at all, especially when she looks this beautiful. I want to reach out for her and kiss her, let her know I will never leave her side ever again.

"Yeah, posted some on Soundcloud. There a few more songs, but I won't be publishing them just yet. So, what made you do this change of hairstyle?" I twirl a strand of her now lighter hair around my finger and she looks at me a bit uncomfortable so I let go of her hair. Gosh, I miss playing with her hair as silly as it sounds. She liked it so much, but I guess now it's just plain uncomfortable. Understandable after all those fights we had and how things ended.

"Nathan and I were walking down the street when we spotted a hair salon, so I just had a weird rush to go in there and this happened." She gestures to her hair with her hand and I smile. I'm not thrilled to hear she is hanging around with Nathan, but as long as she is happy, I'm fine with it, not so fine, but I can survive. "I really like it. Both hairstyles suited you just perfect." I see the pink shade creep on her cheeks and she gives me a shy smile.

"You are acting weird, shy, a bit nervous something you almost never are." I point out and she scoffs.

"I wonder how you do it," she rolls her eyes and I furrow my eyebrows, "do what?" I ask.

"You just act like nothing has happened, like we didn't hate each other a couple of months ago and act like we hang out as friends every day. It amazes me how you do it, because I just can't do it. I'm trying to act as if nothing happened, but it's hard to push that much of crap." I bite my lip to not laugh as she says the last sentence and fail, erupting into loud laughter causing her to look at me with disbelief but amusement cleared on her face.

I smile as I see her smiling and shortly apologize. "I'm sorry, I know it wasn't that funny but it has been a long time since I last laughed." I murmur and she looks at me with a sympathetic kind of look.

"Ditto." She sighs and I frown.

"How are you and your dad doing?" I place my hand on her knee and she looks at it but chooses not to say anything.

"It's hard, very hard. She was our only family member we had besides each other, now time is ticking and I'll be left alone." She looks down causing her hair to hide her face as it falls to her face and I put my hand on her cheek, rising it back up.

"Don't you dare think like that, you hear me?! You will never be left alone because you have all of your friends, even me by your side, and your dad is young, I will tell him you are preparing him a tombstone though, he won't be happy to hear that." This causes her to crack a small smile, making me succeed at what I was going for, and she wraps her arms around me, causing my eyes to widen, but as soon as the surprise goes away I hug her back.

"I really miss her," she sniffles and I rub her back, humming to her ear one of her favorite songs by me. Be Alright, I sang it to her then and I will sing it to her now, and in the future.
