Chapter 12

**Well hello there strangers. Ruby here just saying hello and that we are both still about. I have to say a big thanks to Niemo for writing the first part of the chapter. *Kenzie's POV*

"We have to go back and find Lisa." Shawn said rushing for the door. Norman pulled him back.

"we will of course we will but lets be smart." He told Shawn taking a seat.

"We don't have flash lights. How are we going to see out there?" I asked. My heart still pounding hard in my chest.

"My phone has a flash light app. It'd pretty crappy but it will give us some light." Jensen said, switching it on showing us that it indeed wasn't the brightest but it was better than being in complete darkness.

"Plus our phones being on will give us a small form of light."

"Come on guys she could be hurt and we're sitting talking about stupid Flash light apps." Shawn said pacing.

"Okay, okay come on everyone phone in hand. Jensen you lead the way with your flash light the rest of us will use our phone screen brightness to the best we can." Jensen led the way with Shawn behind him. Me behind Shawn , Ruby behind me and Norman at the back.

"LISA!" Shawn called out.

"Ugh should we really be calling out alerting whoever took her to our position?" I asked

"Who said anyone took her?" Shawn gasped.

"Well the body in the middle of the road vanished which leads me to believe it was indeed trap and they took Lisa."

"This is all to horror move like and I don't like it not one bit." Ruby replied.

"Girls you are letting your imaginations run wild. This will all work out just wait and see Jensen tried to reassure us but I didn't believe a word of it. I had a sinking feeling in my stomach and this wasn't going to end well, I just knew it.

We continued looking for Lisa, calling on her but we got no reply and we could find my evidence of where she could have gone. It was like she just vanished. We agreed to regroup in the RV get some rest and wait for day light which would be in about four hours. Shawn was none to pleased with this plan but what could we do? In this thick darkness it was impossible to find anything. We would be much better off in daylight. We reached the RV and I made us all a coffee. I have never felt so useless just sitting there while Lisa was out there somewhere. I shook my head trying to free myself of the negative thoughts that were fast approaching. I had to remain positive. She probably just got separated from us got lost and took shelter somewhere til morning where she would be able to find her way back easier.

"I think we should call the police." Norman suggested.

"Maybe if we can't find her in daylight but you know they won't come all the way out here until she's been missing for 24 hours anyway." Ruby replied. She had a point.

*Ruby's POV*

We all tried to get some rest but my brain just wouldn't switch off I gave up and grabbed my cigarette packet. Usually smoking was not permitted inside but was I hell going alone so I sat up front and used the ashtray there and cranked the window down a little to let fresh air in. I sparked up and took a draw before exhaling deeply. I was still trying to get my head around everything that was happening tonight.

Lost deep in thought I didn't hear nor notice Norman had joined me so when he spoke up I about hit the roof.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." He said as I managed to muffle my yelp.

"No, no I was so lost in thought. What did you say?"

"I asked if you had a light." He repeated waving his cigarette between two fingers. I handed him my lighter. "You okay?"

"Yeah, no, I don't know, this is all just too weird and quite frankly terrifying."

"I'm sure Lisa will be fine."

"It's sweet of you to say but I don't believe it. There was noway we could have been separated. It's an open field. Shawn said she was pulled away from him. She didn't get lost Norman she was taken. Not to mention where the fuck did that dude on the road go?" I shook my head and took a drag before continuing. "No Kenz is right this feels like a trap. I think we are literally in a horror movie right now, except it's real." Norman didn't reply, I was glad he wasn't trying to feed me bullshit about being positive as that means he thought the same as me. I relaxed slightly as he took my hand in his own. 

"No matter what happens, I'll make sure you girls are alright, that I promise." He said after along period of silence.

At first light we gathered, agreeing that we stick together and we went in search for Lisa. We found tracks in the thick mud. But we couldn't be sure if they were our own from earlier or not so we followed anyway. They led us from the field into wooded area. We knew now they were not our tracks as we did not go past the field last night.

"Look" Shawn pointed and ran ahead where lying in a mud puddle he picked up the scarf that Lisa was wearing. "LISA!"

"I really don't think we should be calling and giving our position away." Kenzie said.

"Agreed lets just proceed quietly." Jensen agreed and we all continued on the trail.

We walked for a further twenty minutes with no further evidence until we saw smoke in the distance. We quickly but quietly proceeded to check it out. We soon came across a old run down cabin. It was surrounded by old run down cars. Heaps of them.

"I don't like the look of that place." I said as a shiver ran down my spine. We followed the curve to the edge of the wood to get closer to the house but remain out of sight. The closer we got the more it became clear that the cabin was not just run down it was lucky to still be standing. It was rotting and wooden planks hung from it's frame. There must have been twenty or more cars in the yard, some looked like they were full of luggage, others like they had rolled over with the windows smashed and cars damaged. 

The front door of the cabin creaked open and out stepped a large man wearing clothes the were ripped and torn as well as being as dirty as anything. His dark hair was a matted mess upon the top of his head. We all ducked down out of view behind an abandoned van. I was still able to see him through a small gap. The huge guy stood in the doorway and looked around the yard. My breath caught in my throat as I thought his gaze stopped in our direction, I let out a sigh of relief when he looked the other way and lumbered  towards a dilapidated old banger, got in and drove at a snails pace down the over grow driveway. 

"We need to look in there." Shawn said standing slightly as the car disappeared from view. 

"What! you have to be kidding me. There could still be someone in there, and gods know when the other thing will return home. I'm not going in there." I stated as a matter of fact. 

"So if you were in there you wouldn't want us to at least check the building to see if you were there?" Shawn growled, angry with my reaction.

"Of course I'd want you to check, but only if you weren't putting yourselves in danger like we would be doing now."

"Why don't you, Kenzie and Norman go back to the Camper to be there if Lisa shows up. I will go check this out with Shawn." Jensen suggested.

"If you're going in there I am as well. Ruby and Norman can head back."

"Are you sure?" Norman asked. Kenzie nodded. 

"I will be with the guys, I will be safe and I'm quick on my feet." She smiled as I gave her a worried glance. "Rubes don't even argue with me. I'm probably the only one that can sneak in without getting noticed." Ruby went to argue with me but I placed a hand over her mouth before pushing her away with Norman.
