Chapter 17

Eddie POV

After Harley had calmed down and didn't try to take my head off I let her go, but, she didn't do anything execpet maybe fall asleep afterwards. I made sure to leave my number so that way if she woke up she'd call me if she needed me. I may hate how she treats me, but, she's a human being still, and I have to show her some kind of politeness.

I got up from where I was crouched after I had written my number I went out of the room, heading to Rose's to make sure Lissa was alright. I knocked and waited, but, nobody answered. Maybe the guardians called her to see Lissa after the fight. I hadn't had the time to check on her because I had to take Harley out, but, I had to have known that Rose would be there for her, even if I wasn't. I sighed and turned on my heel, heading to the court's clinic. When I got there people where already hustling and trying to move patients around. I sighed, and walked up to the clinic's clerk. "Hey, I am looking for Queen Dragomir, can I get her room number if she is still here?"

The lady held up a finger, looking through her documents that were on the laptop. "Ah, yes. Room 20B. Take the elevator and should be on your left when you get there. "

I nodded and thanked her as I went in the elevator, awaiting it's slow arrival to the third floor, which is where Lissa was at. Once the doors opened I side stepped the crowd that was coming on and went to the room that the clerk had told me. Once in front of the door, I quickly knocked and said, "Lissa?"

"You may enter!" I heard Lissa voice.

I quickly went in, looking at her as I shut the door. "Hey, how are you holding up?"

"Fine, thank you. Have you seen Rose?"

I shook my head. "No, I haven't, why? "

"She told me she was going to talk to Harley... give her a piece of her mind." Oh no. This wasn't going to be any good.

I cleared my throat. "When was the last time you spoke with her?"

"Two hours ago."

"Shit." I murmured, taking a breath. "Okay, look I am going to try to find her before she gets probably kicked out, so is there anything you need before I go?"

"No, well, yes, guess I do. I need you to protect my sister, Jill, from here on out. Think you can do that while I'm trying to get Harley a new guardian?"

I nodded. "You know what, Lissa? "

"What?"

"You should let Rose take a crack at guarding her. Maybe she can teach her some manners."

Lissa chuckled. "We'll see. Right now, I need you to find Jill, but, don't tell her that I had got into a fight, alright?" I nodded and headed out to find Rose.
