Its been about a week since the audition and I havent gotten the call back. Although I didnt like Henry Danger, I still had the hope that I'd get the part. Just so that I could prove to myself that I was good enough for Hollywood.

But as the days turn into weeks, my confidence level is too low to manage.

I stood down in the kitchen looking in the pantry, the sound of the vacent house overwhelmed me.

My mom had been shopping maybe once since we moved here, the lack of food was depressing.

I grab a spoon from the drawer behind me and scoop it through the peanut butter container.

Felt like the best decision at the time.

I sat on the counter, my mouth full of peanut butter at the convient time of the house phone ringing.

I rolled my eyes, this would be probably the fourth time since ive woken up that my parents have called to check on me.

I get down from the counter and walk over to the phone, not bothering to look at the screen as I pick up.

"Hello" My voice mummbled through the peanut butter.

"Hi, is this the Rose residence?" The ladys voice was so crisp, so formal.

"Yeah?" I questionably answered as I walked over to the fridge to grab a bottle of water

"This is Kimmy, from the audition center, I'm here to inform you that you are one of the auditions that we enjoyed most about a week or so ago and we are giving you a call back"

I choke on the water "Really?"

"Really" I could feel a grin through the phone "I will see you on Saturday at 3 then?" She finished

"Yes, yes you will" I said still shocked from the news

"Great. well have a good day Miss Rose"

"You too" I hung up. My screams echod through the marble based kitchen. I thought through the process of telling my parents. I was gonna wait it off, knowing theyd either come home drunk or tired.

I walk upstairs with a faint smile still spread across my face. I decide to take a shower before I begin to do anything else.

I get out of the shower and towel dry off my hair as I hear my phone ringing from outside the door.

I wrap the towel around my body and walk out to my room, sitting on the edge of my bed as I look at the screen.

Unknown number- A california area code.

"Hello?"

I pulled my damp wet hair to one side of my wet body.

"Is this Emily?"

"Yeah. Whos this?"

"Its Jace, Norman.
From the auditions. "

"Oh.
Can I help you with something?"

"Well, Dan wanted me to
go over the Call Back scripts
with you and some of the other
girls before the next audition...
I know its kind of last minute but,
would you be able to do it tomorrow?"

"Yeah, sure."

I stood up and walked into the bathroom, the phone tucked under my shoulder.

"Cool"

There was a moment of awkward silence after that.

"So uh, where are we
meeting tomorrow?"

"Im not sure.
Something by you is fine."

"Starbucks?"

"Perfect. On main street?
Thats pretty close for me as well.
See you around two?"

"Sounds good"

"Ill see you then I guess"

"Bye"

I hung up as soon as i got the chance. But almost regretted it. It felt a weird sense of empty. And annoyance tied in one emotion.

What was I feeling about Jace?
