NO ONE'S POV-
"One day, as Piccolo was going home to the lookout after training, he heard a small crying from a nearby field. Brushing it off as a family of some species, he decided to ignore it. But the tall green warrior didn't hear the crying stop nor any attempt in someone stopping it. He decided to take a look and found a small basket near a few trees by the stream.
Piccolo looked in the basket and saw a baby human girl with black tuffs of hair. He picked up the child and she stopped crying and opened her eyes to reveal bright green orbs. Piccolo took one look into her eyes and..."
"What happens next Mom," a young Bulla asked her mother.
"I was taken into a new home. Duh," a black haired girl told her younger friend.
"I was getting to that part Bulla. And Violin, I know you lived this story, but please don't spoil it," Bulma said to the bright eyed child who sat with the other children.
"Yes ma'am," Violin replied nicely. Bulma was about to continue the story before the front door slammed to reveal four tired men- well, a man and three beings from space.
"Daddy," Marron and Bulla shouted before running to their fathers.
"Thanks for watching our kids Bulma. Especially since you already have to watch your own," Goku said with a smile before Goten walked over to him.
"Of course. I was just telling the kids a story to kill time," the blue haired earth female replied.
"About what," Krillen asked.
"When my dad found me," Violin stated as Piccolo lifted her up from the ground as she was now "taller" then all of her friends.
"What," Piccolo asked as he turned his gaze to Bulma. "Why?"
"She wanted to hear it and then the other girls wanted to know and soon I was telling it to all of them."
"Honestly Woman. You should know when to keep a person's past a mystery," Vegeta said as he held his daughter and sat on the couch.
"Well it isn't like she hasn't heard it before. Besides, she's still young. You can't expect her NOT to ask to hear the story again. She always brightens up when she hears that story. It's cuter than the nickname she had for Dende."
"Nickname," Goku asked.
"You don't know? When she was learning to talk, Violin always called Dende 'Cute Snail' instead of his actual name," Bulma said with a laugh. Violin blushed a little and buried her head in her Nemekian father's neck before they all went their separate ways. As the two with instrument-like-names appeared at the lookout again Dende and Mr. Popo gave the two bright smiles.
"How did training go Piccolo," Dende asked his fellow Nemekian.
"Fine. Same as always. I sparred with Krillen, Goku sparred with Vegeta, Vegeta losses and starts to argue with Goku, Krillen and I break up the fight, same as it always was."
"And how did you like Bulma's, Violin," Dende asked after giving Piccolo a nod and bending down to the girl's level.
"It was okay. Played with the others, ate a snack, Bulma told a story, and Dad came to get me," the young girl said with a bit of pink on her cheeks before yawning and rubbing her eyes under her small glasses.
"Sounds like you need a nap," Piccolo said before picking up his child and carrying her to her own little room on the lookout. He laid her in the bed before going to leave the room and meditate on the lawn of the lookout.
~SEVERAL YEARS LATER~
PICCOLO'S POV-
I watched Violin make sure she had everything before she gave her bag a concerned look. She started looking around and I gave her a look of my own.
"What are you looking for?"
"Dad, have you seen my glasses?"
"You mean these," I told her before she smiled and took the glasses. She put them on her face and picked up her backpack.
"I've got to go meet up with the others so we can walk to school. I'll see you this afternoon," she said before floating up and kissing my cheek before leaving. I smirked as I watched her leave. I can't believe it's almost been eighteen years since I found her.
(*cough* android! *cough*)
I saw Dende watch her go as well and raised an eyebrow as he smiled with a bit of purple dusting his cheeks. I studied him a bit more before Mr. Popo came over and said he made some tea. Dende nodded before following the jolly genie.
I took another look out over everything before going to meditate. Yet I couldn't shake the look Dende was giving my daughter. He looked lost a bit as though he had just met her. Oh well, whatever it is can't be too bad. But I can't shake this feeling in my gut that something is going to happen.
VIOLIN'S POV-
I met up with my friends and we rushed to school and went to our first class. I was in science class and since my partner was Trunks, I was a lucky young woman. Since he knows almost everything about science he's always helping me since I tend to confuse certain things.
We were learning a new topic and I was spacing out a bit so I nudged Trunks and passed him a note that asked him for help. He rolled his eyes and explained the problem to me. I understood it better and thanked him. Class started to end and the teacher let us talk freely amongst ourselves.
"Thank you so much," I told my lavender haired friend.
"Of course. But how did you not understand. You did that at my house a few weeks ago," he replied.
"That's why you rolled your eyes?"
"Yep. Seriously, if you're going to keep that part time job at my mom and grandfather's home lab you better get your grade up in science."
"I know. But when you were raised around literature and training, science doesn't come as easy. And I guess I should get better since me working there is giving me money to pay for my cell phone."
"I'm surprised my mom didn't just buy you a phone herself. You feel more like a child to her than me."
"That's not true and you know it. And I wouldn't feel right about that. I'd rather work for something than have it handed to me. Eh, rich boy?"
"Shut up!" Trunks nudged me a bit and we both laughed before the bell rang and we walked to our next class.

So there's the first chapter. Again, I have no idea why I'm doing this. I guess I was just in the mood to read a Dende X Reader since there's a few Piccolo X Readers but I had no luck in finding one. So here I am! Writing one myself. Lol. And remember guys-
