When the world stopped spinning, the hospital ward was empty. "Where's Ron?" Harry said, looking around in astonishment.

"We don't have time!" Granger grabbed Harry by the shoulders, "Where were we at Seven?"

"Seven? I don't-"

Draco interjected, "On the hill. When you found me with Greg and Vincent."

Granger took off running, yelling over her shoulder, "Come on! And don't be seen!"

Draco didn't know a lot about time turners, aside from how renowned they were for being dangerous. One wrong move, and you could change the present until it was unrecognisable.

By the time they made it to the hill overlooking Hagrid's hut, Harry was shaking his head. "I don't understand - what are we doing?"

Granger shushed him as they emerged from the bridge, and Draco cringed at the scene from earlier that day: goading Harry to hit him.

"Come to see the show?" The Draco below hollered. He glanced at Harry to find him slack-jawed.

"That's us? But... it's already happened. This is not... normal?"

Of course Harry didn't know what a time turner was, because he never knows anything. Draco rolled his eyes good-naturedly and pushed him up against the wall, out of sight. "A time turner lets you travel through time, Harry."

Granger pulled it out to show him again, "McGonagall gave it to me first term. It's how I've been getting to all my classes."

Draco huffed, "Despite the incredible idiocy of the teaching faculty to give a fourteen-year-old such a stupidly powerful object, we can use it to save Sirius."

Granger turned to consider the scene below, "Dumbledore obviously wanted us to return to this moment. Something important must have happened. Something he wants us to change."

Just as they left the shadows to peer down the hill with Granger, Draco yelled, "Yeah, Potter. Go and cry to Mummy. Oh, that's right. She's dead too."

Draco winced, "I'm sorry about that."

"It's fine." Harry shook his head, like it didn't matter. But Draco knew it did.

"No, it's not," he said, earnestly, turning Harry to look at him. "I'm sorry."

"Thanks." He had a feeling that Harry didn't forgive him, but that was fine. He would make it right later.

The Granger below them shot down the hill, wand up. "You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!" Followed by a harsh punch to the jaw. Draco smacked a hand to his face as he felt the impact all over again.

"I'm not apologising," She told him, chin high.

"I wouldn't expect you to." He undoubtedly deserved it, anyway. She turned to grin at him, but Draco's returning smile dropped. "Granger - he's - I'm - quick!"

He ushered them both towards the window, where they crouched on the grass as Draco sprinted past with Vince and Greg.

Once they were sure they were far enough away, they peeked down to watch Granger turn back to Harry,  "I'm sorry. You were right. I can't understand why he would do that."

"Great punch, Hermione. Right in the git's stupid pointy nose!" Ron said gleefully.

Draco frowned, "My nose isn't that pointy..."
