🖤Warnings: Suspense and angst. Mentions of being an orphan, rough house life, being on your own. Traumatic experiences.

🌴Summary: Steve takes care of you and Matilda just until Andy's return. A familiar face flies into Hawaii to help with the entire situation and tries to get Andy out of hiding. You and Matilda grow closer.

"That was really scary, I'm sure. But you were really brave. I admire that." Calmly telling Matilda who was a shaky wreck beside you on the couch in yet another one of Andy's homes you don't know about, you try to soothe her.

"Thanks," she wipes her tears, smoothing her hands down the front of her thighs, "I-I'll get out your guys' hair. Um, is there a phone where I can call a taxi or something?"

"Nonsense," you give her a sympathetic smile, "I'm going to help you. Like you helped me."

"I don't think that's a good idea," Matilda disagrees, "I should've never gotten in the car. My brother and Paine are dangerous, and if they start looking for me and they find me here, I wouldn't want anything to happen to your husband because of me."

"Nothing is going to happen to him," Matilda stands and goes near the windows, you could see the ocean from here. And the sun just barely leaving, leaving the responsibility of the night to the moon.

"In fact he'll help you."

"Y/n," she sighs, "I know what Mafia bosses are like they don't help anyone they don't need to. My brother was greedy, and so is Paine. They're selfish."

"I know," you stand to be next to her, this was hard, she was about to embark on a new journey, one where she put herself first. Suddenly you get an idea, Matilda is old enough to be considered an adult.

But you could talk with the ladies from the orphanage about housing her just until she gets back on her feet, "come back to Massachusetts with us. I work for an orphanage, I'm sure they'll have a room for you. Just until we can figure out what you'd like to do. Or if you want to stay with Andy and I, I'm sure he won't have a problem."

"Can..." she gulps, that sounds good, a place where she can just rest and see what's she's going to do—where she's going to go, "...I think about it?"

"Of course," squeezing her shoulder, you smile, she's such a kind, gentle soul. And too smart for her own good.

"OH MY GOD! Get away from the windows!" Steve comes in from making sure the entire house with locked up, and there wasn't any suspicious activity out in the darkness.

With the cool radiation tool, Jake gave him.

"Steve!" You clutch your chest, scared that something had happened. "You don't have to yell."

Steve nervously rushed over to both of you girls and gives you each a push in the right direction. Far from the windows that were a couple feet tall and a couple more feet wide.

You would've think Andy could've gotten another house that wasn't as obvious or in the open.

"My brother is looking for me isn't he?"

You give Steve a look, just as you calmed her nerves, Steve was bursting them back up again. "No," he says, honestly, "we don't know yet, but it's only a matter of time until he does—BG please stop staring at me it makes me nervous."
