I woke up extremely sore. It would be easier to count the number of muscles in my body that aren't sore. Seriously, how have people done this for four or eight years? I don't even think I could even finish this one! The struggle bus is taking the high way to Hell and I've got the VIP seat.
Despite the struggling muscles, I rolled my body over and picked my phone up, which was still on the charger. My alarm hadn't gone off yet. I was happy I had actually woken up by myse-
Beep~Beep~Beep
Oh god I just fucking jinxed myself. Just kill me right now.
"Turn that shit off!" Cora shouted, totally oblivious to the fact that her own alarm was going off, playing something in mexican.
"Listen to your own damn advice!" Persephone exclaimed, throwing her pillow at Cora.
The clock said 6:00 AM. Honestly, I just wanted to set the alarm to 6:30 and just sleep in some more before breakfast, but I really had to take a shower. I smelt hella rank, but that's what you get after marching almost eight hours a day.
I didn't even bother taking the ladder down. The bunk wasn't even that high, so it was actually quite easier to get up and down.
"You taking a shower, Lauryn?" Quinn asked. I nodded my head. "Can you wait for me?" If it was one thing I hated about this place, it was the fact that be didn't have individual bathrooms in our rooms. If we had to go to the bathroom or take a shower, we had to leave the room and then walk down the hall to a community bathroom. At least they weren't the Co-Ed bathrooms. I don't think I could have lived with that.
While Quinn was grabbing her stuff, I was doing the same. I gabbed my blue plastic basket that had all of my showering things in it, my towel, and my fluffy black robe. I didn't even bother with taking any clothes to change into. There was a problem yesterday, where someone had their clothed stolen while they were in the shower.
I highly doubt that it would happen to me, seeing as we stood at attention for ten minutes yesterday. WITH INTSRUMENTS! My arms still really hurt, along with the rest of my body. Probably the number one reason on why my body hurt so much this morning.
"Ready to go?" Quinn asked. I again nodded my head, not one for talking today. My voice hurt from the shouting we had to do in the commands we were given. If anyone *CoughDadCough* asked me to sing, I will beat them will the dullest of spoons.
Quinn and I left the room and turned left, heading in the direction of the showers.
"So Lauryn?" Quinn asked out of the blue.
"Yeah?" My raspy voice responded.
She turned to me, he face showing some concern and confusion. "I need help, and I really feel like I can trust you to help me." She was kinda scaring me, but I kept quite to let her continue as we turned into the bathroom. "I have a crush on someone, but I don't know what to do about it. I've liked him for a while now, but just recently I started to like him even more."
I didn't realized she would be asking me relationship advice. I had never really been in a relationship. The only "relationship" I was in was before I was taken out of school with a kid in my elementary school.
"Is he in the band?" I asked the freshmen. She nodded her head. "Who is it?"
She was blushing like a mad man now. "It's Elijah..." At this, my eyes widened and my feet stopped. Elijah was the only other person in my section and Ava's adopted little brother. I mean, both of them were adopted, but he was the younger one of the two.
"Oh my God, Lauryn, are you okay?" Quinn exclaimed, shaking her hands in front of my face, breaking me out of my surprise that I had just gone through. I suddenly grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.
"You two would be sooooooooo cute together!" I shouted, moving our bodies to the sides, strangling the small girl. I let her go when I heard her strangled cries for help. She pulled herself away while I continued. "You know what you need to do! Tell him! I am confident that he likes you too! Man up!" I shouted, walking by her to get to the shower section.
Before I went into my own shower, I turned my head to face the shocked girl.
"Just do it."
