Tyler PoV
I waited patiently for Josh to finish his shift whilst I scanned through the familiar shelves of records in my favourite store. My palms were sweating and my heart racing as I saw Josh walking towards me.
"Ready?" He asked casually. I nodded and we headed out of the store.Calm down Tyler, it's just Taco Bell, it's not like this is a date.
We decided to walk to Taco Bell since it was only about 10 minutes away. The first part of the journey was spent in silence, and I silently begged Josh to say something, anything, because sometimes quiet is violent in my head. As if he heard my silent prayers, Josh spoke up and said
"Hey, I just realised that I don't know much about you, tell me about yourself"
"What do you want to know?" I asked, my hands shaking slightly. I really wasn't very interesting and I didn't want him to be disappointed
"How old are you?"
"22, what about you?"
"21, but I'll be 22 in a couple months. What are your hobbies?"
"Um, I guess I play piano and ukulele and sometimes I sing, but I wouldn't really call those things hobbies since I'm not very good"
"I bet you're amazing"
I blushed at the comment and looked down at the ground. Josh must have found my embarrassment funny because he chuckled and placed a hand on my shoulder
"You should really sing for me sometime"
"I don't know, like I said, I'm not that good"
"I'll be the judge of that" he smirked "anyway, I play drums. We should jam"
"Jam?" I asked raising my eyebrows and giggling lightly.
"Yes, we should jam Tyler, what's wrong with that?" He asked laughing along with me
"Nothing Josh, nothing at all"
The rest of the journey was spent with us walking a little too close to each other, the backs of our hands grazing against each other's ever so slightly now and again and it was quiet, but this time it wasn't so violent.
