Dinner with Tyler went well, we talked and laughed like we were old friends. In fact, it went so well that I found myself not wanting to leave the brown eyed boy.

"Tyler, do you want to come over to my place? I have red bull and mario kart" I said wiggling my eyebrows trying my best ttempt him

"Dude, is that a serious question? Count me in!" He said enthusiastically

"Sick" I laughed with a huge grin on my face

"Sick as frick" he giggled with a smile matching my own

This didn't seem anything like the Tyler that I met in the record store with the scarred arms and the sad eyes. This was a different Tyler and I was so glad that I got to see this side of him.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" I shouted, maybe a little too loudly as I seemed to have attracted the attention of a few other people in Taco Bell, but I didn't care. As long as Tyler was smiling. We left Taco Bell and walked back to my place. It wasn't a huge apartment but it was cosy and it was mine. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

I grabbed two red bulls before I sat down on the couch and motioned for Tyler to sit next to me. I handed him a controller and before I knew it we had played about 5 games of Mario Kart. Tyler had won all of them.

"Dude! Stop cheating!" I pouted at him, making puppy dog eyes

"Hey! Don't blame me for the fact that you suck at this game" he smirked

I gasped and clutched my chest dramatically "how dare you!"

We both collapsed into a fit of laughter and giggles as I started up another game, determined to beat Tyler.

After about another hour, I had won 1 game and Tyler had won about 20.

"How do you do it?" I asked

"Practice" he said casually with a shrug

I checked my phone and noticed that it was a little after 10pm

"Do you want me to take you home now?"

"Um, sure. Yeah, thanks." He said, suddenly sounding a bit upset.

"Hey, I don't have work tomorrow, how about we hang out again?"

His face lit up a little at this as he nodded and said "yeah that'd be sick"

I smiled at him and stood up from the couch, offering him a hand which he gladly accepted and I pulled him up from where he had sank into the seat. He stumbled forward into my chest a bit and I looked down to notice that he was staring up at me, a pink tint to his cheeks. I cleared my throat after a few seconds and we both separated and stood up straight. I looked down at the floor trying to hide my own blush.

"Ready to go?" I questioned quietly

He nodded in response and I grabbed my keys as we left the apartment. The night air was freezing and I noticed for the first time that Tyler wasn't wearing a coat so I pulled my hoodie off and gave it to him. He gladly accepted it. We climbed into my car and I put the radio on, singing along to some blink 182. Tyler smiled and joined in and pretty soon we were screaming the lyrics to 'What's My Age Again?". It took me a couple minutes of driving around before I realised that i had no clue where Tyler lived

"Crap, um, where do you live again?"

He just giggled at my stupidity and gave me the directions. He only lived about 5 minutes away from me. A few minutes into the journey he sighed and leaned his head back onto the seat

"It's been so long since I rode in a car with a radio"

"What do you mean?"

"Somebody stole mine"

"That's kind of a stupid thing to steal"

"I guess so, but when it's gone you sure as hell notice its absence"

I pondered this for a minute before I concluded that yes, I would be lost without my car radio too. We pulled up outside Tyler's apartment and he thanked me for inviting him over

"I'll see you tomorrow then?" He asked hopefully

"Of course. Could I get your number? You know, just so we know where to meet and everything?" I was getting flustered and my red cheeks were giving it away. Tyler smiled widely and took my phone from me, quickly typing in his number

"Bye Josh" he said before closing the car door and making his way up to his apartment

"Bye Tyler" I whispered, mostly to myself because he was already gone.

As I arrived back at my apartment, I went straight to bed. As I climbed in between the sheets, I quickly typed a message that simply said "goodnight Tyler" and sent it to him. A few minutes later I got one back reading "goodnight Josh" and with that I started to drift off to sleep with nothing on my mind other than the brown eyed boy who had already managed to steal my heart.
