*Ross's POV*

It had been four more days, and I finally felt good enough to do things myself, but the doctors still wanted my family and friends to keep an eye on me.

"Hey, Ross. You feeling good enough to come with me?" Ellington asked as he came into my bedroom.

"Uh, I guess so. Where are we going?" I asked and looked at him.

"It's a surprise." He said and I shrugged my shoulders.

"Sure. I hope it's a good surprise." I said and he chuckled.

"It is. Trust me." He said and reached for my hand.

"Okay." I got up and placed my hand in his. He led me downstairs and out of the house, before opening the car door for me and watching me get in.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"I told you, it's a surprise. I promise you'll love it." Ellington said as he got into the car and started it before pulling out of the driveway.

"Okay. I trust you." I said and looked down at my feet.

"Good. We'll be there real soon. It's not all that far from the house." He said and grabbed my hand with his right hand.

"Okay. I'm kinda excited." I said with a small smile as I looked at our hands.

"You should be."

Soon, we got there and he got out and let me out.

"Cover your eyes." Ellington said and I nodded before closing my eyes. He grabbed me by the arm and carefully led me inside the place and shut the door.

"Can I open them yet?" I asked.

"Nope. We're almost there." He said.

"But we're inside a building.. I think. It seems like a building." I said and he chuckled.

"You're right. This is a building. It's one of my favorite buildings, but there is a certain spot that I'm taking you to." He said and stopped walking. "Speaking of, we have arrived. Now open your eyes, sweetheart." He said and I slowly opened my eyes.

"The rage." I said quietly as I looked around.

The rage is where me and my siblings met Ellington, and we all instantly became friends. That's also how we found out he could play drums, so he completed the band.

"Remember this room?" He asked and I smiled as I looked around a bit.

"This is the room you and I took hip hop dance lessons." I said and looked at him. "This is the exact spot I was standing when we first met." I said and stood in the spot I was standing the day we first met.

"And this is the spot I was standing." He said with a smile as he stood in his spot.

"Want to go to another room?" He asked and I shrugged.

"If you want to, sure." I said and he smiled as he took my hand.

"How about this room?" Ellington asked and led me to the auditorium where we performed dance numbers and recitals that we learned at The Rage.

"The auditorium." I said as we walked in.

"Yep. Look, this is where your parents usually sat during recitals." He said as he pointed to two empty seats.

"And that's where your parents sat." I added and pointed to the two empty seats behind the seats my parents sat in.

"Yep." He said and kissed my cheek.

"Hey, uh. Isn't The Rage supposed to be closed right now? I remember the hours were from 7 am until 3 pm. It's 6 pm." I said and looked at him.

"For students and teachers, yes it's supposed to be closed." Ell answered.

"Then how did we get in?" I asked.

"Ms Charlotte helped me arrange this. She knew it meant a lot to me, and she knows we wouldn't mess anything up or anything." Ellington answered.

"Ms Charlotte was my favorite teacher." I said and he smiled.

"Mine too. Want to go onstage? She said that it would be okay to go in rooms and look around and to go on stage if we wanted to." He said and started to lead me to the stage.

"Yeah, that'd be great. I actually kinda missed this stage." I said as he helped me up the steps.

"Feels weird, doesn't it?" He said and looked at me before looking out toward all the empty seats in the auditorium.

"Hm?" I said and looked at him.

"Being back at The Rage. Being back on the stage we performed recitals on. Being on a stage and not performing our R5 set list." Ell said and I smiled softly before leaning my head on his shoulder.

"Yeah. It does feel kind of weird. But I like it." I said and he let go of my hand before turning to me and looking into my eyes.

"May I have this dance?" He said in a goofy accent.

"There's no music." I said and he smiled.

"No music? Are you sure?" He said and looked toward the sound booth. As soon as he said that, slow music began to play.

"Did you plan this too?" I asked as we started to slow dance.

"Hm, I guess you'll never know." He said and let out a small laugh as we danced.

"You did, didn't you?" I said and he nodded a bit.

"Yeah, I did. I figured you'd like coming back to The Rage just one last time, and I wanted to dance with you, so.."

I smiled.

"Who's in the sound booth?" I asked.

"No one is." He said and I laughed softly.

"Then how did the music start playing?" I asked.

"Magic."

"By magic, do you mean one of my siblings?" I questioned.

"Maybe." He said and I started to get a little out of breath.

"Can we stop? I can't breathe." I said and he nodded before stopping.

"Of course." He said and I leaned on him.

Even though I've been doing better, I still get out of breath very easily. It's probably because I only have one working lung now. The doctors did say I would probably always have breathing problems now that I have just one working lung. So, I had to try not to do too much all at once.

"I feel a little lightheaded." I said and took in a deep breath before holding onto Ellington.

"Just lean on me. I won't let you fall." He said and held onto me.

"You want to go home?" He asked.

"No. I want to stay. I'm slowly catching my breath." I said in between heavy breaths.

"You sure?" He asked.

"I'm sure. I'm good now." I said as I finally caught my breath and let go of him.

"Okay, good." He said and kissed my cheek.

"I still want to know who's in the sound booth." I said and Ell laughed.

"It's Ryland." Ell said and waved toward the sound booth.

"Nice."
