6: Windowsill Conversation

*Ellington's POV*

"Hey, Ell?" Ross said and looked at me.

"Yes, Ross?" I asked.

"When can I get out of here?" He asked with a pouty face.

"I don't know. It really depends on how you're doing the next week or so." I answered.

"Oh. Dammit. I want out." He pouted and I sighed as I rubbed his cheek softly.

"I know you do. You'll be out eventually. Okay?" I assured and he sighed.

"Okay." He said. "And.. Ell?"

I looked over at him.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Stay with me. Please?" He said and I chuckled.

"I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right here with you. Okay?" I said and ran my fingers through his blonde locks.

"Good. I don't want you to leave me." He said and I nodded.

"I won't leave you, Ross. Never." I said and he weakly smiled.

"Thank you."

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Rocky asked as he entered the room.

"Not so good. But I guess I'll be okay since Ellington is here." Ross answered and Rocky looked over at me.

"Ellington, can I speak to you for a minute?" Rocky asked.

"Yeah, sure." I answered.

"Alone." He added.

"Oh, actually, I promised Ross I would stay in here with him.." I said and Rocky looked over at Ross.

"Ross, can I borrow Ellington? This won't take long." Rocky said and Ross frowned slightly.

"Go ahead." Ross said and Rocky motioned for me to go with him.

I followed him out of the room and he shut the door, and walked down the hall to a window at the end of the hall.

"Is something wrong? Well, other than Ross being in the hospital of course.." I said as we sat down in the windowsill.

"I heard you and Rydel broke up. What happened?" He asked.

"Oh, it was actually a joint decision. We both realized that it just wasn't working, and we both kinda decided to see other people." I said and he nodded his head.

"Ah. And.. Ross is that person, I assume?" Rocky said and I nodded.

"Yeah, he is. I realized that it was actually him that I love. I guess the reason I was dating Rydel was because at the time Ross was taken, and Rydel was close to Ross.." I said and looked down.

"Does she know this?" Rocky asked.

"Actually she does. She admitted that she was sort of in the same situation." I said and looked at Rocky.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"She said that she actually loved someone that was close to me, and that she couldn't have him, so.." I said.

"Someone close to you? Who?" He asked.

"She never really told me who it was.." I said and he nodded.

"Oh. And you're sure that you love Ross?" He asked and I nodded my head.

"I'm positive. I am absolutely in love with him." I admitted.

"Okay. Just remember, if you break his heart, I'll break you." Rocky said and patted my back.

"Harsh. But, don't worry. I would never." I said and stood up. "Anyway, I should go back to Ross's room.. He's probably wanting me." I said and Rocky nodded.

"If either of you need anything, call me. Cause I can always come and tend to things, or I can send Lauren to. Okay?" He said and I smiled a bit.

"Ohhh, are you and Lauren finally going out?" I asked and he smiled.

"Yeah. We are."

"It's about time." I said with a slight laugh. "You finally had the balls to ask her out."

He laughed and playfully hit me.

"Shut up. Just go to Ross."
