A/N: Hey! Quick disclaimer, sorry for the confusion, but I accidentally numbered the chapters wrong, so really when I thought there were eight chapters, there were seven, and I accidentally numbered the last chapter as number eight. But THIS chapter right here is the eighth chapter, just wanted to clear that up (I fixed the problem).

Diggy POV:

Sitting in work was agonizing to me. I couldn't do it anymore, and I had a feeling that I knew what could have happened to Emerald.

I got out of my chair, and went into the other room to talk to my boss.

"Diggy," he began, his thick eyebrows furrowing in concern. "What's wrong with you?"

I looked up at him for a few seconds, not knowing what to say. "I uh," I began, my voice shaking. "I have some personal stuff I need to deal with. You mind if I take a break today?"

He gave me an understanding look, and gave me permission to leave.

I got into my Range Rover, and sped down the highway towards Emerald's work building. I was going to find Monae, and force that maniac to let Emerald go.

When I pulled into the parking garage, I got out, feeling determined. My heart was beating and I began to walk faster. I took the elevator out of the parking garage, and finally got up to the floor where Seventeen Magazine's office was.

As I walked towards it, there was a brown wood framed door, with glass in the middle. On it in frosted letters were, "Seventeen Magazine," I opened the door.

With my heart pounding, I walked through the hallways, sneaking peeks at the little offices to see if there was anyone that looked like Monae, that one time I saw her when she interrupted my date with Emerald.

Suddenly, as I walked through, I locked eyes with a women who appeared to be wearing a red, ghetto-looking wig, and some thick black glasses. She looked surprised and worried to see me, so I knew it was Monae.

I pretended to look past her, and in the corner of my eye, I saw her fear fade away, and she looked relieved.

Suddenly, I pounced into her office, getting behind her chair and squeezing her neck with my arms.

A scream almost escaped her lips, when I leaned closer.

"I swear to God, if you scream, if you even get me sent to jail," I whispered calmly. "I swear I'll spill all the details to the police, I will get you arrested, and you don't want that. Tell me where Emerald is, or I'm going to choke you to death, right here, right now."

My breathing became heavy.

"Are you going to tell me where you've taken her?" I demanded.

Monae nodded furiously, her face red, a tear running down her cheek.

I let go, as she gasped for air.

"Okay, okay," she said, between heavy breaths. "I'll take you to her. I don't have a car though, you're going to have to drive me."

I spun her office chair around, forcing her to look me in my eyes.

"I swear if this is a trick," I began to say, but she cut me off.

"It's not! It- it's not. I swear." she said, putting her hands up defensively.

"Alright," I said. "Go tell your boss you have to get off work."

With that, she got up, me following close behind. When she finally got to the door, she said she had to leave.

"Monae!" I heard the boss say, "You can't leave right now, we have things that need to be done."

She looked back at me.

"I uh, I have something really important that I have to do right now, please."

Her boss sighed. "Fine. But you better be back soon, or you're losing your job. You're not supposed to just walk out like this."

"I know, I just," Monae began, but was cut off.

"Just go." I heard the boss say.

Monae thanked her, spun around, and lead me back down to the parking garage.

We got into my car, and drove out into the highway.

Monae finally spoke again.

"Get off on that road. We're almost there."
