Chapter 12

Emerald POV:

Sitting on my bed, thinking about everything, I felt my face get warm, and my vision begin to blur. Right as I reached for some tissue to wipe my eyes, my phone rang. It was my mom.
Panicking, I stared at my phone for a few seconds before deciding that I wasn't going to tell her about anything that had happened.

I finally picked my phone up, and tapped the screen, allowing me to answer.

"Um, hello?"

"Hi sweetie, how are you? Are you doing okay, dear?"

Her asking me if I was okay mad me somehow think that she already knew.

"W-why do you ask?"

"Well, you are pregnant... Anyways, your father and I want to have dinner with you and uh, Diggy as well if you decide to bring him. We want to discuss helping you plan your whole pregnancy out, and help with organizing the wedding. Is that okay?"

"Sure, that's fine. Anyways, I have to go. I'm kind of in the middle of something. Love you, Mom."

"I love you too."

After hanging up the phone, I sat there and thought for a little bit more, until I finally decided to be mature and just go talk to him.

I hesitated before opening the door, and then began to make my way towards the kitchen. When I got there, Diggy was leaning over the table, staring into blank space.

I gave him a soft hug from behind, resting my cheek against his back.

Not turning around, he quietly said: "I'm just trying to help you. I know it's hard but you have to let me in. I need you to help me so that I can help you."

He finally turned around, wrapping his arms around me.

"I love you," was all he said.

"I love you, too." I replied.

Hey guys, so I decided to take my book off hold. Sorry for disappearing, but I was starting to feel a bit unmotivated to write anymore. But I'm back now, and it wouldn't be fair to my readers if I didn't finish this book. And sorry that this chapter was so short, it was only a filler but a new chapter will be up soon.
