Diggy POV:
When I woke up, I looked over to where Emerald had been laying. She wasn't there.
"Emerald?" I yelled.
"Yeah, I'm in the kitchen." a quiet voice replied.
I walked out, to see that Emerald was sitting on the kitchen counter in my t-shirt, eating some cereal.
She looked at me awkwardly and sighed. "Sorry, I just didn't want to wake you up. I know I've been worrying you, and I thought you needed some rest."
I walked over to her, looking into her eyes. I pecked her soft lips as she set the cereal bowl down, and wrapped her arms around my neck.
Her breaths were steady, and it made me feel a little bit better, because she seemed calm.
Still holding onto her, I gripped one of her thighs, my head laying on her shoulder. She smelled sweet, like cinnamon.
"Did you shower?" I asked. "Yeah," she replied. "I felt gross."
"Did you disinfect your wrists?" I asked.
"Yes, I did," she replied sharply. "Please stop worrying, it's making me feel even worse."
I looked down in frustration. Then I looked back up, staring into her piercing, green eyes.
"Don't worry? Emerald, I can't just let you be. You don't want my help, but you need it."
"Ugh, stop." she said, letting go of me.
She got off the counter, and walked off leaving her cereal.
I followed close behind her, but as soon as she noticed, she walked into the bedroom slamming the door behind her.
I was about to knock on the door, when I decided to just wait a while.
"I just want to help you," I whispered to myself. "You don't deserve this."
