I yawned as I sat up in bed. Man that alarm is annoying. After taking a shower and getting dressed, I went down to the cafeteria for some breakfast. No matter how much I denied it, Kagari still sat with me and continued our game of kicking each other's feet.

"Cmon, Kogami was shot in the spine with the dominator and rather than worrying about him you're sitting here trying to piss me off?" I said, a smirk on my face.

"Man, sometimes I just don't understand how you cut it as an inspector in the first place." He mumbled as he pulled his feet back.

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, no longer smiling. He had a cocky smirk on his face. "Nothin'." I kicked him one more time in the leg and trashed the rest of my breakfast before going to the office.

While I sat at my desk, I rolled down my sock to see the bruise that Kogami left on me yesterday. "Fucking hell, Kogami..." I complained to myself. If Kagari hadn't insisted on being a dumbass then I would be fine... I pulled my sock up and leaned back in my chair as I waited for Ginoza. Kagari came in soon after I did and was later followed by a glum looking Akane.

While I watched Kagari's handheld game over his shoulder, inspector Tsunimori came over and asked if there were any spare tablets.

"Last I checked, Enforcer Kogami was using all the spare equipment," Kagari said.

"But how can he- I mean, Kogami's still-" Akane began but was interrupted by Kagari. "Recovering from being shot? Yes he is," Kagari nodded. I grabbed the book that I had lying on my desk and whacked him on the head with it.

"Ah! That hurt..." Kagari mumbled as I unhooked my tablet. "Here," I smiled up at her, "you can use mine. And don't mind him, he's just an idiot." I handed her the tablet and she awkwardly thanked me.

Just as she took my tablet out of my hands, Masaoka walked in. "Sorry, I know I'm late!" He said while smiling and rubbing the back of his neck.

"Inspector Tsunimori? I didn't know that you were on duty tonight. Must be hard coming in after last night?" He said. She struggled to look for a response, but Masaoka kept talking. "Let's just hope that tonight will be -" he got cut off by the sirens going off throughout the building.

"Elevated area stress level warning. A psycho pass above regulation value has been detected inside Iko Gryce Hill in Adachi Ward. On duty inspectors and any available enforcers are required for intervention at the scene." A feminine voice spoke over the speakers.

"That's what I get for asking for a peaceful day..." Masaoka said and sighed. "Aww, too bad our shift just ended!" Kagari said with a smile on his face.

I sighed at his stupidity before talking to Masaoka. "Do you need any backup? I can cover for Kogami if you'd like?" I asked.

"No thanks, I think we'll be okay on our own." He said before turning to Akane. "Well Inspector Tsunimori, ready to head out?" He asked. Akane looked conflicted but complied and put the tablets back before rushing off to the scene with Masaoka.

"Well, looks like it's just you, me, and the moon," Kagari said, clearly referencing something that I haven't seen. "Sorry, but we can't see the moon from in here so it doesn't count." I said, picking up the book that I hit him with earlier and began reading it.

"Dude, you could at least go along with it!" He complained, putting his handheld down. "But I don't know what that's from..." I said, staring at him blankly. "Aww man, you serious? You haven't seen it? Fine, I'll show you!" He turned to his computer and began typing away until finally he pulled up a video.

He sent it to me and it appeared on the screen in front of me and I pressed play. It was a stupid black and white cartoon. "Here," he said as he leaned over to my tablet. He moved the video along before playing it again.
