Nessie's Life

Preface

My name is Renesmee Carlie Cullen. Most people call me Nessie. I am currently 7 years old, though I have the body of a 17 year old and a brain that far exceeds that of an adult human. This is a brief summary of my life up to this point:

I met the Volturi when I was just a couple months old. That was the scariest experience I have ever been through.

Shortly afterwards, I moved in with my extended family from Denali, along with my parents, aunts and uncles, and grandparents Carlisle and Esme. My protector Jacob lived in the woods near our new home.

We stayed there for three years while my mom learned to control her new thirst and her eyes slowly went from red to yellow. I spent almost every second with my parents in Alaska. We were just rejoicing that we had made it through the confrontation with Aro alive.

Eventually, my parents told me that they were going to college at Dartmouth. This meant that I would spend the next four years with Jacob. We would live in his old house with Billy in La Push.

I was excited to spend time with Jacob, Billy, and Grandpa Charlie, but also terrified to be separated from my parents. It was three years after my birth but physically I believe I looked eleven-ish. It's hard to remember because I grew so fast!

Jacob used this time to finish high school, and while he was at school I really got to know the wolves and had plenty of "girl time" with Jake's sister Rachel. On the weekends I would ride on Jacob's back to visit Carlisle, Esme, Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett, Tanya, Kate, Carmen, and Eleazar.

You might be wondering why I didn't go to school myself. This is easily explained when you think about my constantly changing body! I did not develop relationships with anyone who did not know about vampires. They would have quickly realized that I am slightly more than your average human.

Finally, after four years in La Push, mom had graduated college for the first time and dad for the thousandth time, Jake had graduated high school, and I was fully grown.
