Ch.27

*Bree's POV*

I was getting ready for our little get together tonight when all of the sudden Carey walked in.

"Hey babe, they'll be here soon. Don't dress up, just be casual." He said while kissing my cheek.

On that note, I went straight to the bathroom to begin getting ready. I decided on French braiding my hair and putting on minimal makeup. Once I was done with that, I went straight to the dresser to pick out my outfit. I decided on a white Adidas crew neck, some light washed skinny jeans, and my all white converse. By the time I was all ready, I heard a knock at the front door.

"Hey Babe can you get that!?" Carey yelled once I got down the stairs.

"Um yea sure!" I yelled back while walking towards the front door.

Through the glass, I could make out 3 figures. One male, one female, and one child. I quickly opened the door and greeted our guest.

"Omg you are Brianna Bishop!!!" The little girl yelled. I kneeled down to her level and smiled.

"Yes I am and you are?" I asked with another sweet smile.

"My name is Jessica and you are my favourite player!" She answered.

"Well what's your favourite team?" I asked one more question.

"Hmmm for sure Montreal and Tampa!" She said with an adorable smile. I quickly got up and greeted her parents.

"I'm so sorry about that! I just love kids and fans! I'm Brianna if you didn't catch that." I said while smiling.

"Oh we did. Our daughter loves you! I'm Jennifer by the way!" She said while shaking my hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you!"

"Oh no the pleasure is all mine!" I said while moving on to her husband.

"Hey, I'm Max. Carey and I have been friends since freshman year!" Max said while hugging me. I could make out a very small French accent.

"Brianna." I said while pulling away, giving him a smile. I began leading them over to the living room when all of the sudden, there was a knock at the door.

"Um let me go get that!" I said while walking over back to the main entrance. I opened the door to be greeted by 2 families this time. The first family I saw consisted of a man a little bit taller then me, a women who was shorter then me and, a son. The next family consisted of a tall girl and boy with two kids, a boy and girl.

"Hey, my name is Brianna Bishop!" I said while smiling towards the families. Almost as soon as I said that, Carey wrapped his arm around me, placing a kiss on my cheek.

"Hey guys! Max and Jennifer are in the living room." Carey said while gesturing them over to the room while I closed the front door.

Once I walked into the living room, I immediately sat down beside Carey.

"Well guys this is my girlfriend Bree!" Carey said. "Bree you've already met Jennifer, Max, and Jessica  but the blonde is Kate and her husband is Chris, they have twins, Jeremy and Bonnie.  Then that's Julie and Josh, they have a son, Michael. Well that's all the gang!"

"It's great to meet you guys!"  Io said while smiling.

"Well that was really fun!" I said while climbing into bed with Carey.

"Yeah that really was." Carey said while smiling. "You know they really liked you. Especially the girls, I wouldn't be surprised if you join them on their next shopping trip!" Carey said while laughing. There was a comfortable silence and I decided that I should probably tell Carey what I've been thinking about lately.

"You know, I really love it here." I said while smiling. "The people here are just amazing and I was thinking... After we tell my family about us." I said gesturing in between the two of us. "I think I'm gonna come back here and just stay with you until we have to go back, if that's alright with you?" I said, looking up to him.

"Bree I would love to have you here." Carey said while pulling me closer. 

That night, I definitely fell asleep with a smile on my face.
