Ch.24

*Bree's POV*
Its been a week since the family dinner and Kayla and I have been texting non stop. From nail appointments to massages, we've been together. Today, Kayla, Lynda, and I are all going shopping in Vancouver, while the boys are going hunting somewhere in Kelowna. It was 8 now and we would be leaving to Carey's parents house at 9:30. I was so excited to be with Kayla and Lynda again. I ran downstairs to be greeted by Duke and Motty. Carey was in the shower so I decided on making us both breakfast. I went for some whole wheat and low calorie pancakes with fruit on the side. Right when I was done cutting up the fruit, I went to the fridge and grabbed some apple juice for me and some orange juice for Carey. I heard someone walking around upstairs and I knew that it was Carey. I placed the plates on the table and waited for Carey to emerge into the dinning room. Sure enough within a few minutes he was at the doorway that connected the kitchen and dinning room.
He took a seat and right away dug into the food.
"Babe this is amazing!" He exclaimed as he shoved another piece of pancake into his mouth.
"Thank you!" I said grabbing my plate and walking over to the sink. I washed off the plate and placed it in the dishwasher.
"Babe I'm gonna go get ready!" I screamed while running up the stairs.
"Okay!" I faintly heard Carey yell back. I rummaged through my suitcase trying to find a perfect casual and comfortable outfit. Finally I decided on black leggings, a white long sleeved t-shirt, my dark green Doc Martens, and a black cross body bag. (Outfit above"). For makeup, I decided on a neutral lip and eye. My hair was in waves from yesterday and once I was done with all of my bathroom necessities, I ran downstairs to wait for Carey. He walked into the entry way dressed in all camo and might I say he looked extremely attractive.
"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah!" I exclaimed very excited. We walked out of the house hand in hand and started to make our way over to his truck. We jumped into the truck and began making our way to his parents house.

We pulled into their driveway at 10:20 and I saw Yannick and Jerry placing everything in Jerry's truck. I jumped out of the truck and ran straight to the house. I heard people moving around upstairs and I assumed that it was Kayla and Lynda. I ran upstairs, making sure not to trip. I heard voices coming from Lynda's room so I went there first. Sure enough, Kayla and Lynda were there, sitting around.
"Yay you're here!" Kayla exclaimed while running over to hug me.
"It's great seeing you again!" Lynda also exclaimed while hugging me.
"It's great to see you too!" I said while pulling away. "Now whose ready to get their shop on?!" I yelled while throwing my hands up in the air. They all laughed while agreeing. We walked downstairs and made our way outside. Right when we walked outside, the boys were finishing getting everything ready and were about to leave. Jerry and Yannick walked over to Lynda and Kayla, while Carey walked over to me.
"Have fun today babe. Don't miss me too much." He said while softly placing his lips on mine.
"Hey same goes to you!" I said while playfully slapping his chest. "But no seriously I might just miss you a little." I said while hugging him.
"And I might just miss you a little too." He said with a smirk.
"Come on let's go lovebirds!" Exclaimed Kayla.
"Ok ok." I said while laughing. "I gotta go but I love you and I'll see you in a few hours." I said while walking away.
"I love you too!" Carey screamed while jumping into his dad's truck. I somewhat quickly walked over to Lynda's Ford Flex and when I approached the vehicle, I didn't hesitate to jump in.
"Took you long enough!" Kayla jokingly exclaimed.
"I'm sorry! Carey was taking forever!" I joked.
"No but seriously I'm glad Carey found you... I don't think I've ever seen him this happy." Lynda said, smiling.
"And I don't think I've ever been this happy..." I said while smiling. It was true... I love Carey so much that I don't know what I'm going to do without him when the season starts.
"You know I'm really gonna miss him when the season starts." I sighed.
"Well you have until September with him!" Kayla said, trying to lighten the mood.
"Have you thought about moving to Kelowna?" Lynda asked me.
"I've thought about it a little but I really can't commit to anything until my parents and brother meet Carey." I answered.
"Well I know that Carey would love having you live with him." Kayla said while turning over and smiling. I smiled at the thought of living here with Carey... There is no one else that I could picture my future with... When I close my eyes and think about it, all I see is him...
------skip car ride------
We arrived in Vancouver at around 11:30 and we went right to the mall. We hit up all of our favourite stores and after sore arms and many laughs, we decided to head out for lunch at around 2:30. We all decided on a little cafe in downtown Vancouver. I ordered a Caesar salad with a glass of water, while Kayla ordered a turkey club and Lynda ordered a chicken noodle soup. After we were done eating, we decided on hitting up some cool tourism spots. Kayla and Lynda showed me the arena from the Winter Olympics and many other cool things. By the time we were done with everything in Vancouver, it was about 4:30 and we decided on heading home. Carey texted me that they also were heading home.

We pulled into Carey's parents drive way at about 6. Almost right when we pulled in, so did Carey and the other guys.
"Why don't you guys stay for dinner?" Lynda said more like a question. I looked over to Carey for an answer and right when I did he opened his mouth and said...
"You know mom we would love to but, we already have dinner reservations." Carey said while smiling to his mother.
"But we will for sure see each other again before we leave for Tampa!" I said while hugging Lynda.
"Yes we will!" Lynda said while letting go and giving me a smile.
We said our goodbyes and headed back to Carey's house to get ready for this unexpected dinner.
"I didn't know we had a dinner planned." I told Carey while looking over.
"It was kinda a last minute thing and I invited my grandparents, if that's alright?" Carey asked.
"Carey that's perfect." I said while placing a kiss on his cheek.
"I love you so much, you know that right?" Carey said while giving me a smile.
"And I love you so much." I said with a smile. I loved it here and I for sure wasn't ready to leave...
