Ch.30

*Bree's POV*

"Bree?"

This couldn't be happening. Why out of all grocery stores!

"Bree." He said once more.

"Tyler.." I said slowly. I haven't seen or spoken to him since the awards.

"Um how have you been? I haven't seen you in awhile. Let alone spoken." He asked.

"I've been fine. What about you?" I asked trying to be civil.

"Um great.. I have a girlfriend." He said with a smile.

"Aw really? What's her name?" I asked, genuinely interested.

"Marissa. We've been friends since high school." He said with another genuine smile.

"That's great Tyler." I am so glad he is over me.

"Your brother said you were out of town.." He said rubbing the back of his neck. "Did you leave because of me?" He asked concerned.

"No Tyler.. Yes, you scared me but I'm not running away again." I said with a reassuring smile.

"Then why did you go out of town?" He asked clearly confused. Should I tell him or...? He's one of my good friends and he deserves to know.

"Um I was with my boyfriend.." I said while looking down.
"B! I'm so happy for you!" He said while pulling me in for a hug.

"Thanks Tyler.." I said. Why was he so nice all of the sudden...

"Do I know him?" He asked. Crap.

"Um yea kinda." I said a little unsure.

"Well how about we catch up! I'll bring Marissa and you bring your boyfriend. We could go to that club?" He suggested.

"Um i don't know Tyler.." I said. Would Carey even Wanna go?

"Come on Bree! I haven't seen you in so long and I really want you to meet Marissa. So what do you say?" He asked one last time. I don't see the harm in going. He will find out eventually.

"Um yea sure! Why not?" I said with a smile.

"Great! I'll see you at 8?" He said.

"That's perfect." I said while pushing my cart the other way.

"Bye Bree. It was great running into you." He said while waving.

"Bye Tyler." I said while returning the wave.
What did I just get myself into?

*skip to after shopping*

"Babe! I'm back!" I screamed while struggling  with the bags.

"Here let me help you." He said emerging from the kitchen.

"Thanks." I said while smiling.

"So how was grocery shopping?" He asked as we walked into the kitchen.

"Um it was fine.. Guess who I ran into?" I asked.

"Hmm I don't know...Who?" He asked.

"Tyler.. He invited us out tonight." I said slowly.

"Oh. Did he try anything?" He asked, admittedly tensing at the thought.

"Nope. He has a girlfriend." I said with a smile. "I told him that I had a boyfriend and so he asked if we would want to go out with him and Marissa." I finished with a smile.

"Oh good, I wouldn't want to beat him up again." He said with a chuckle.

"So? Are we going?" I asked.

"If that's what you want then sure." He said while shooting me another smile.

"Alright we leave at 7:30." I said while continuing to put away the groceries. I just really hope this goes well...

*skip to 6pm*

Since grocery shopping I've just cleaned the whole day. I didn't realize how messy I actually left my place. After about cleaning for 2 hours I finally decided I should start getting ready. Coming out of the shower, I decided on a subtle smokey eye with a neutral lip. After I finished my makeup, my hair was finally dried so I decided on curling it. Once that was done with I went to find an outfit. After looking through everything I finally decided on leather pants, white peplum top, and some pink heels. I also put on my arrow necklace that Lynda got for me. Man did I miss them. Grabbing my clutch, I made my way downstairs. Once I reached the bottom of the stairs, I went straight to where Carey was.

"Babe... You look... Amazing." He said eyeing me up and down.

"Thanks. You aren't to bad yourself." I said with a wink.

"Well are we ready?" He said.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I said letting out a sigh.

"Hey it will go great." He said giving me a reassuring smile.

"I sure hope so." I said while closing my front door.

*skip to the club*

We walked into the club atmosphere, hand in hand. Getting our way through people wasn't as hard as we thought considering most of them were so drunk. Finally we spot Tyler and Marissa standing towards the back of the club. Slowly we both walk over there.

"Bree! Glad you could make it!" Tyler said while pulling me away from Carey. "This is Marissa!" He said, gesturing to the blonde next to him. Man she was perfect for Tyler.

"Marissa." She said while pulling me in for a hug.

"Brianna, but please call me Bree." I said while smiling.

Finally we both direct our attention to Carey and Tyler. Tyler was deeply staring at Carey while Carey stood there. Clearly uncomfortable.

"Tyler.. This is my boyfriend, Carey." I said while walking over to Carey, putting my arms around his stiff body.

"Carey Price." He said. I couldn't tell how he was taking this. "Treat her right or else." He said while pulling Carey in for a bro hug.

"Oh I plan on it." Carey said while smiling.

"This is such a hockey affair!" Tyler said while laughing.

Now I just have to win over the rest of the team and my family...

okay well that was chapter 30. This one is for InsLpinette  because we both hate cliffhangers! But this chapter is also for all of you! Crazy to think that this story is at 3k! Only a a handful of chapters left! Thanks for the support! Also, sorry this chapter is alright! Nothing to special.
