*Bree's POV*

It's been a week since we went to the club with Tyler and Marissa and things have been going great. Except for one problem. The whole team is back from visiting with family and friends for this meeting we have. Of course word goes around and most of them know that I have a boyfriend. Carey said that he was okay with meeting them all if I was and of course I am. They are like my second family. I'm obviously just nervous. I don't want them too think I'm trader. Tonight we all agreed on a dinner at 7. It's 6 now so I decided that I should probably start getting ready. Since I showered this morning, I didn't have to worry about that so I went straight to makeup. I decided on just a neutral base and a neutral lip and for my hair, I curled it while putting two braids on each side. Once I was done with that, I went to pick out my outfit. My outfit consisted of a white blouse, light washed jeans, mint green heels, a white cross body bag, and my crystal necklace. After I was done getting dressed, I made my way downstairs and towards the front door. Sure enough waiting for me was Carey.

"Well are you ready?" He asked me with a smile.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" I said with a nervous laugh.

"Yea I'm nervous but it's your team." He said reminding me.

"Yea true. So when will I get to officially meet the Canadiens?" I asked while locking the door behind me.

"Soon babe. Soon." He said while taking my hand into his.

*skip to restaurant*

Carey and I slowly walked over to the front desk and waited for the man. As soon as the man appeared I asked.

"Reservation under Lightning?"

"Oh yes right this way." He said while leading us over to the back room. As soon as he left I turned around to Carey.

"I should probably go in there first.." I said unsure.

"Yea probably. I'll head over to the bathroom and just text me." He said with a reassuring smile, while walking over to the bathrooms. Here goes nothing... I slowly pushed open the door to be met with a huge room filled with my teammates and their girlfriends and wives.

"Hey guys." I said with a small wave and sure enough within minutes I was bombarded by hugs and questions.

"How was your trip?!" Steven asked me.

"Where's the lucky man?" Natalie asked.

"Okay okay to answer your questions... My trip was fantastic! I met such great people!" I said instantly thinking of the Price Family.

"Okay and what about your boy?" Maddy said while wiggling her eyebrows at me. Jonathan looked at me waiting for my answer and Tyler right next to them, gave me a reassuring nod.

"Let me go grab him. Please just let me explain before you freak out. Alright?" I asked, earning a nod from all of them. I slowly peeked my head out the door and sure enough, Carey was sitting there waiting.

"Ready?" I asked giving him a smile.

"Yes." He said while standing up. "So ready."

"If they are asses, we will leave. Jonathan is in there too." I said while taking his hand in mine.

"Oh really? What about Crosby?" He asked while laughing.

"Wow I only wish." I said with a wink.

I slowly opened the door and gave his hand a squeeze.

"Alright guys." I said getting their attention. "You all know him.. Guys this is my boyfriend Carey." I said as Carey emerged from the door. Most of the guys just stared but all of the girls came over to congratulate me.

"Wow you are finally taken! Took you long enough!" Andrea exclaimed as she pulled me in for a hug.

"Do your parents know?" Natalie asked me.

"No. We are telling them next." I said while smiling towards Carey. "You can go talk you know? They won't bite and if they do I'll beat their ass." I said earning a chuckle from him and the girls.

"And I have no doubt you would." He said while kissing my forehead. "Wish me luck?" He mumbled against my forehead as he let go of my hand and made his way towards the guys.

"Omg that was so cute!" Tori exclaimed as she pulled me in for a hug.

"How long?!" Maddy asked me.

"Since the awards." I said smiling at the memory.

"You guys are seriously perfect omg!" Natalie said as I smiled. It's great to be with someone you love.

*Carey's POV*

After letting go of Bree's hand, I made my way over to the anxious guys. As soon as I reached them, the questions started.

"How long?" Steven asked.

"Since the awards." I said smiling at the memories.

"Who else knows about you two?" Kucherov asked.

"My family, my sister's boyfriend Yannick Weber, a few of my friends and their families, and now you guys." I said, answering his question.

"Her parents are next aren't they?" Ryan asked.

"Yea they are." I said while looking over my shoulder. She was laughing with her friends and I don't think she's ever been more beautiful.

"Are you nervous?" Palat asked me, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Uh a little. I heard they are hard to crack." I said.

"Yes they are." Ben said. "It took them at least a month to except Andrea and she doesn't even play, plus they are huge hockey fans." He said.

"So you are going to have to really wow them." Tyler said.

"But hey congrats." A few said while coming over to bro hug.

"Keep her man. You've got one of the best players in the league." Jonathan said.

"Oh I plan on it." I said with a smile. After I was done with Jonathan, Ben came over.

"Hey man can I talk to you? Like private?" Ben asked.

"Uh yea." I said nervously. I looked over to Bree and she was giving me a confused look while trying to listen to whatever the girls were telling her. I shot her a reassuring smile and kept following Ben to the back of the room.

"Alright I'm not going to yell at you. I just want to know one thing?" He asked.

"Shoot." I said, anxiously waiting.

"Do you love my sister?" He asked.

"I've never loved anyone as much as her. She makes me so happy, she's genuine, down to earth, she's so funny.. She's amazing at our sport. Man she is so beautiful..." I said while looking over my shoulder and smiling at her. She's mine.

"That's all I wanted to know.. I can tell she loves you just as much." He said while pulling me into a hug. "Welcome to the family. I don't care what my parents say. If you love her, that's all that matters. Treat her right or else." He said while smiling. I wanted to know why he asked... Just as he was about to walk away I stopped him.

"Hey I have a question?" I asked.

"Yea?" He said a little confused.

"Why did you ask? Like I get she's your sister and you care but why?" I asked genuinely curious.

"Very very rough past. But that's not for me to share." He said giving me a reassuring smile while walking back to the boys. I looked over to my happy and beautiful girlfriend and wondered... What happened that I don't know..?
