Dawns POV
Life here in Gondalin isn't easy. If you could get passed the robberies then came the murders. The gangs, the psychopaths it was all there. Me and May had to learn the hard way, how the world was. Without a house or shelter, Gondalin was not a safe or good place to be at night. Me and May ran through the dark wet alleyways. Our only light was the moon. We jumped over a fence and kept running. It was raining and I pulled down my hood down even more to keep dry. We stopped abruptly and looked around. "We need shelter." May said and I nodded. Lightning lit up the sky quickly and me and May ran faster side by side. We didn't need another cold. The last time nearly killed us without shelter, somewhere warm and at least dry. I spotted an area by a building. It had a roof like thing over it so it would be dry. As for warmth we would have to without it for tonight. "Over there!" I said and pointed to the area. We ran over and sat down in the dry but cold area. We huddled together and pulled our hoodies closet against our bodies. I need to get her out of here. My sister can no longer suffer like this. She rested her head on my shoulder and I rested my head on her head. I started singing softly.

I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, "I'll never let you go"
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, "Don't leave me here alone"
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window darling
Everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone
Gone

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh
La La (La La)
La La (La La)
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh
La La (La La)

Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound...

Oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh oh oh
