Dawns POV
A bell rang. It wasn't very piercing like a normal bell. But soft and twinkling. I ran into Mays room. "What's that?!?" She asked. "I don't know!" I replied. Dianna came up stairs and found us. "Oh! I'm sorry sorry. I forgot to tell you about the bell. It rings everytime we eat. Say like Lunch, Dinner, and Breakfast." She explained. We nodded slowly. "Dinners done!" She said and we followed her downstairs.Drews POV
The girls came into the dining room and sat down. Dinner was served. "Alright help yourself!" My mom said cheerfully. The girls stared at the table confused. "Something wrong girls?" My mom asked cutting a piece of steak. "We've never seen nor heard of over half of these foods." May explained sheepishly. We all looked at them. "Oh that's right.. I'm sorry." My mom apologized.Paul's POV
As Dianna told them about the foods, I noticed Dawn kept a very close eye on May.Mays POV
I tried several foods I have never seen nor heard before!! Me and Dawn didn't eat much. But then again. We never really have. Me and Dawn stood up. "May we be excused?" I asked and Dianna looked up at us. "You sure? You haven't eaten very much." She replied confused. "This is the most we've eaten in one day. Thank you." I said and Dianna nodded and we walked upstairs. I went into my room and changed into a red tank top and black pajama shorts. I layed down onto my red bed. It had a huge comforter and it had roses on it. It was soft and I sighed happily. I tried laying down but I couldn't.Dawns POV
I went over to Mays room to check on her. We haven't been this apart in forever. I knocked softly. "May?" I asked. "I'm awake." She said and I walked in. "Can't sleep?" I asked and she shook her head softly. I sat down on the bed next to her.I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, "I'll never let you go"
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, "Don't leave me here alone"
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonightPaul's POV
I walked past Mays room. I was walking out from the bathroom down the hall. I took a shower and was walking back to my room. I heard singing. Curious I backed up some. The singing was coming from Mays room.Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound
It was very pretty. Soft, sweet, some high notes notes but easily obtained and soothing. I walked closer to the door.Don't you dare look out your window darling
Everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone
GoneJust close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and soundOooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh
La La (La La)
La La (La La)
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh
La La (La La)Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound...Oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh ooh
I heard walking and Immediately backed away from the door. Dawn walked out and closed the door softly. Then turned around and walked into me. "I'm sorry!" I said and helped her up. Her hands are warm I thought. She put her hands in her back pockets nervously. "How much did you hear?" She asked. "All." I replied. She looked down embarrassed. Then looked up "Well Uh. Yeah. We'll get the phones set up tommorow. See ya tomorrow I guess." She said brushing her hair behind her ear. I nodded and scratched the back of my neck. She walked into her room and I went into mine.
