Chapter 6: The Truth is Yet to Come

Daryn and Miles outfit in the MM:

Jordan:
"So bro how was the trip?" Todd asked while starting up a game of 2k.
I laughed and threw my luggage in the corner and fell onto my bed. I had just got off the plane and headed straight from the airport back to school.
"That bad?"  He asked.
"Nope not at all we're not together but everything is real cool." I said thinking about how great it was to hang out with Daryn this weekend.
"Okay bro but aye that chick from the library  came by here last night looking for you ."
"What? How she know where I stay?"
"Who knows with these chicks these days they'll find a way."
"What she want?"
"Hmm she didn't say she just said whenever you get back to call her cause y'all needa talk."
"Damn."
"She sounded real serious too."
"Damn she probably was. I'll be back." I said leaving my room.
"Bet." I heard Todd yell before the door slammed shut. I pulled out my phone and dialed Ashley's number while walking out of the dorm hall.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Aye where you at I'm back on campus."
"It's about time.." She said.
"For real now you wanted to meet right?" I said getting irritated.
"Okay meet me in the student center."
"What floor?"
"The second floor."
"Ok." I said hanging up the phone and walking towards the building.

Daryn:
"So girl what are you going to do?" Khari  asked unpacking her suitcase. We had talked about the whole situation with Miles basically all the way here and I still didn't know what to do.
"Ugh. I don't really know I mean imma just wait until he says something." I said.
"Yeah I guess that's all you can do." She said going to answer her phone that had been ringing.
"Hey Dre."
I looked at her from the side of my eye. I knew her and Dre were good friends but what could he possibly be talking to her about.
"..yeah we just got back, were unpacking now." She said sitting on her bed.
They spoke for a little bit longer before she said goodbye and hung up.
"What was that all about?" I smirked.
"Girl nothing Dre was just checking on us." She laughed.
"Oh really okay." I said changing into my pajamas. We had got back kind of late and all I wanted to do was lay my head down.

Khari: Dre and I had been friends for a long time way before Daryn and Jordan got together. So we always talked on the phone it was never anything serious until this past weekend. He was there for me when I didn't know how to feel about my stepdads passing. He was really a shoulder to lean on when I first got back to Houston while Daryn was still at school. We didn't hook up or anything but we shared a lot of feelings we never got a chance to express. We didn't talk about what we could be or would be we just know we like each other a lot but neither of us are big fans of long distance relationships so we'll just have to see what happens.

Miles:
"Your call has been forwarded to an automotive voice messaging system..."
"Ugh." I sighed ending the call not bothering to leave a message. I don't know why Daryn couldn't just pick up the phone and talk to me. I thought about going to her room but decided that was a little weird but I was willing to do it because I really did like her and wanted to work things out, but seeing as she won't answer the phone I'll have to wait until class tomorrow.

Jordan:
I sat down on one of the couches in the student center while scrolling on my phone waiting for Ashley. She needed to hurry up because I was ready to go to bed, and I didn't have time for whatever bullshit she needed to tell me.
"Hey." She said sitting across from me.
"Finally."
"Okay look I'll get straight to the point for the sake of both of us."
I nodded. "Go ahead. I'm listening."
She sighed. "Okay well a few weeks ago I hooked back up with my ex and everything was cool but a few days before you and I  you know did it I was feeling a little sick but I didn't pay it any attention thinking maybe I was coming down with a little case of the flu. So after we did it, it started to get a little worse and I started thinking it might be more than the flu. So I went to the clinic and they said I have chlamydia."
"What?!"
"They're still doing a few tests to make sure but they're pretty positive. The doctors think you might have it."
"You're kidding right you've really got to be kidding me right?"
"I hope you haven't been with anyone else I'm so sorry."
"No no no I used a fucking condom I can't get it from using a condom, right?" I asked clenching my fist.
"I don't know."
"If you weren't a fucking female I would smack the shit out of you right now." My parents taught me to never hit a female but this bitch kinda deserved it right now.
"I know I'm sorry, how do you think I feel?"
"I hooked up with MY ex this weekend. What if she got it?" I sighed getting upset. This definitely wasn't the news I was trynna hear and I damn sure wasn't trynna tell Daryn she might have it. That would only ruin the shit we have going on right now.
"You need to tell her just in case."
"Shit! Well imma go to the clinic tomorrow and see."
She nodded and I left back to my room.
Damn ain't this some shit.
