Daryn:
It's been a few weeks since I've really spoken to Miles on some real conversation shit. The most we say to each other is hi and bye in class or in passing. I've seen him around campus a lot lately with that Chantel girl and honestly I couldn't care less about them hanging out. I have to admit that I do miss Miles because we were really starting to get serious. I could hit him up and apologize but my pride is just too strong for that. I know I'm being stubborn but I'm not ready to deal with whatever he has to say, and the argument that may come with it.

I walked out of my last class debating if I should go to the cafeteria or the food court in the student center for lunch. They both had pros and cons to them but I decided the food court was my best option right now since I was in a easier walking distance to it. When I got into the student center I went right to chic fil a to get an 8 piece nugget and fries. After I paid for my food I looked around quickly for a seat.

I decided to sit in the booth by the window so I had a nice view of the campus and could do my daily people watching. As I began to eat my food I heard a familiar laugh and looked towards the entrance to see Miles walking in with Chantel. I rolled my eyes and unlocked my phone to scroll on Twitter as a distraction. It worked for a few minutes.
"Is this seat taken?" A voice said. I looked up from my phone to see Miles standing in front of me with a Panda Express to-go bag.
"No...it's not." I said softly.
He took a seat across from me and began to dig into his food. I just stared at him confused because he just sat down in silence.
I kept my focus on him as he continued his focus on the food in front of him. I think he felt me staring because within seconds he glanced at me. His brown eyes staring me deep into my soul. I looked away.
"Daryn." He said causing me to look back at him.
"Yes?"
"Why were you staring at me?" He said in a tone I couldn't quite put a hand on.
"Why did you sit down in front of me?" I asked.
"I needed somewhere to sit."
I squinted my eyes at him starting to get annoyed.
"..plus we need to talk. Whether you want to or not, cause this conversation is long overdue."
I was silent as I ate my last nugget and crumbled the trash up.
"Okay... I'm sorry for keeping the whole situation with my ex a secret. I see now that you and I were working on something but I hooked up with my ex before I realized that. It was honestly a mistake on both of our parts. I don't have any feelings for him and I'm sure he doesn't feel that way for me anymore. We're still good friends but that's not who I want. I want you and I miss how we used to be."
"I know."
I rolled my eyes. "I'm trying to apologize right now."
"Okay and I accept your apology. I'm sorry for flipping out the way that I did a few weeks ago. I just didn't know how to feel because I really like you and at the moment I felt like you broke the trust that we were building. But to be honest it wasn't any of my business, if you didn't feel comfortable telling me at the moment I shouldn't have forced it. And I'm also sorry for trying to flex on you by talking to Chantel right after."
"Okay so now what."
"Do you accept my apology?"
"Yeah."
"Good." He said smiling.
I smiled back. I was glad that we could bounce back from this even though it took a few weeks. I knew that if we were to make this official, communication would be somewhat of a weakness in our relationship.

Jordan:
I ran up the court to shoot a lay up before the buzzer rang to end practice. I watched as the ball flew threw the net making a light swish sound.
"Alright fellas bring it in." Coach Jones said waving us over to him.
"Alright that was a good practice. We have one more before the game Thursday so let's make that practice just like this or better. Also nice job Jordan on that lay up but watch how you come down to the ground be careful on your ankles, we want you playing in this game." He said referring to the fact that I had to sit out the last game because of a sprained ankle.
I nodded my head at Coach Jones while he wrapped up his end of practice speech.
"Now y'all head to the showers cause y'all stink." He said laughing walking away.
The team and I made our way to the locker room. I got to my locker and gathered my things to head to the shower.
"Aye Jordan."
I looked up to see my teammate Jared standing off to the side of my locker.
"What's up bro?" I said dapping him up.
"Nothing much bro but aye let me ask you something."
"Go ahead." I said turning my attention to him.
"What's up with you and that Ashley chick. She said y'all kinda got history but she wouldn't tell me what.. Y'all dated or something?"
"Not necessarily. Why you trynna get with her?"
"I mean she cute I'm trynna see what's up. But if that was yours I don't wanna over step any boundaries bro."
I nodded my head. "Nah bro that's all you."
He smiled and dapped me up.
"Cool bet thanks bro."
"No problem man me and her didn't have anything serious, I mean I hit but only once."
He nodded seeing what I was getting at.
"Cool." He said grabbing his gym bag and leaving the locker room.
I laughed to myself that Ashely told him that we had history, I personally wouldn't call what we had history, but it's whatever.
I walked into the shower room. Once the water was warm enough I got in and started doing my hygiene routine. When I finished I got dressed and made my way to my last class.
I walked in and sat in my normal seat and waited for the lecture to begin.
