Morrigan's P.O.V.

I woke up that Tuesday morning to hear rain still pouring from outside my window. After lingering in my room for a little longer I decided to go to get up and get ready for school. I walked outside my room and still no one was there.

"Great way to start off the day." I muttered to myself hopelessly.

I packed a different bag for school since my other one was still sopping wet from the damp clothes I had thrown in there yesterday. My binder was still light so I decided to carry it on the bus instead of force it into my bag today.

At 7:45am I took my umbrella and walked outside to wait for my bus. Minutes later it came speeding down the street, squeaking loudly as it stopped. Everyone on my bus were holding umbrellas. Even the "cool" kids were which is truly a surprising thing. The bus ride was dead silent for the most part. Everything felt different today. It usually never rained this much so I would expect people to be quiet but never this quiet.

Soon the bus stopped at school and everyone was scrambling to get off in a heartbeat as if they were actually excited to be there. I hurried down the stairs to find Miley standing outside in a rain jacket. She seemed to be waiting for me.

"Hey Miley." I said looking at her.

"Come on Morrigan! School is starting soon!" She said the second I was close enough for her to grab my arm. "I really don't want to be late!"

Miley dragged me through the crowded hallways to her locker and threw her stuff in recklessly. Then she grabbed her white binder and black pencil case then slammed her locker door shut.

"Let's go to your locker quickly." She said and pushed me upstairs towards my locker.

"Wait how do you know where my locker is?" I asked Miley.

"I saw you standing beside it yesterday getting paper out of it." She replied smiling brighter than the moon.

"Ohh okay." I said.

I flung the tiny locker door open and placed my backpack in it along with my umbrella and grabbed my water bottle from inside my bag and slammed the door shut.

"Don't you need a pencil for class?" Miley asked me.

"Oh crap I forgot about that. Let me just open my locker and get one-"

Ring ring!

"Crap!" Miley shouted. "That's the minute bell! We have to be in class in one minute! Just borrow one of my pencils and keep it for the rest of the day. We have almost every class together anyways!" She said tossing me a basic yellow pencil. Her name was scribbled on it in permanent marker.

"Thanks. Now let's run!" I said dragging her behind me.

We both got to class together at the last second before the final bell rang and sighed with relief. We sat at our own seats and laughed to ourselves as quietly as possible.

40 minutes went by and our first hour teacher Mr.Hajem kept getting more boring by the second.

"Well this wraps up our lesson for today. Everyone have some free time!" He said and went to sit down at his desk and sighed heavily.

I slammed my head on the desk.

"Ugh I should've just stayed home today since I had the chance." I said to myself.

Just then Miley pounded her fist on my desk.

"Holy Jesus!" I said taken aback. "You nearly gave me a heart attack!"

"Sorry not sorry!" She said laughing. "What class do we have next?" She asked. "I didn't bring my schedule."

"Science with Mr.Oski. I think I hate science the most. Not because of the teacher I just hate science in general. I've never been good at it..." I said grumpily.

"Well too bad we gotta go anyways." Miley laughed then looked at me seriously. "Soo I hear something has been going on between you and Anthony Zena lately. Tell. Me. Everything!" She exclaimed.

"How do you even know that we are friends?" I asked her.

"A little birdie told me... I'm just kidding one of his friends did and said you guys would look cute together."

"As if!" I screeched.

"Well then tell me what's going on between you two!"

"What's there to tell? We're friends that's all." I replied.

"Aww come on Morrigan. You've got to have a crush on him or something! You guys were 'just friends' for a whole year after all! There's gotta be something going on!"

"Sorry to disappoint you but there is no way a guy like him would like someone like me."

"So what you're telling me is that you like him?" Miley asked.

Shit. I just got myself in trouble.

"Ahh... Umm..." I said feeling my cheeks get red.

"I know you do! Come on just admit it already!"

"No I don't. Never do, never will."

"Morrigan. You do!"

"No I don't."

"Yes you do!"

"Don't."

"Do."

Don't."

"Do."

"Do."

Oh fuck.

"MORRIGAN YOU JUST SAID YOU DO LIKE-" I slapped my hand over Miley's mouth before she could say another word. The entire class was already looking at us as if we were mental.

Ring ring!

I picked up my stuff and ran off to second hour with Miley besides me.

"Tell you what Mori. If you can't ask him how he feels about you by September 18th I'm doing it for you. He's in my fourth and sixth hour class. Both of the classes that I don't have with you." Miley said.

"There's no way I'm gonna ask him before September 18th so you better just ask him now if you're so crazy about it." I told her.

"No. I'm gonna at least give you a chance before I do anything otherwise you'll ask me to do everything for you."

"Really Miley? Really?"

"Yes really now come on were gonna be late for science!"

The rest of the week zoomed on without a second of relaxation for me. My parents didn't come home until Friday evening claiming that they were so busy the stayed in hotels instead of coming home and insisted that leaving their daughter to fend for herself was good life experience. My grades in all of my classes were alright. The only thing I sucked at was math. I had a C- in that. But in language arts I had an A+. My grade was 102% which was pretty awesome. All the planning for Tony's funeral was done. All we needed now was a date for it and we'd be set. My emotions were out of control. But then again when weren't they?
