Another Chance (Sequel to: It's All Over Now)

Chapter 8: Thunder and Lighting

Morrigan's P.O.V.

I woke up to lighting and thunder at 3:29 in the morning on Saturday. I whipped out my iPod and sent a quick text to Angel and Yui.

Hey I can't sleep so I'm gonna go to the funeral home now. Come as soon as you wake up please I'll need your help. Don't worry I'm not gonna ride my bike there since it's thundering, I'll take the city bus that comes at 4:15 this morning. Cya soon enough.

After I sent that text I took a shower downstairs so my parents wouldn't hear the running water. After that I got dressed and slammed 35 dollars into my bag along with a bagel. Soon the bus came and it dropped me off near the book store. I decided to go inside since the lights were on and a neon blue and red sign read the words Open for business.

Mrs.Medela was sitting at her desk reading a book called The Ghost of Crutchfeild hall which was one of my all time favorite books but she dropped it the second she saw me.

"Morrigan welcome!" She said walking over towards me. "What brings you were at 4:30 in the morning on a Saturday?! Don't all kids your age sleep in until noon?" She asked laughing.

"Well my friend Anthony could sleep forever. God I don't know how he does it! Anyway I was on my way to the funeral home but I thought I'd stop by to get myself a few books."

"Oh that's great! Business hasn't been flowing very well lately so please take your time."

"Thanks and trust me I have all the time in the world at this hour."

After 20 minutes I had found three books to buy, purchased them and rushed out of the store into the heavy rain that showed no sign of stopping anytime soon. After seeking shelter under an outdoor cafe umbrella I decided to eat the bagel I packed in my bag then rush though the rain to the funeral home so I didn't have to wait out here forever.

Yui's P.O.V.

"Yui! Yui! Wake up!" I heard Angel yelling outside my door. I rubbed my green eyes and rustled my red ginger hair.

"What the hell are you doing here so early in the morning?" I yelled back through my closed door then looked at the time. It was 4:57am.

"Didn't you get Morrigan's text message this morning?!" She yelled louder than the first time.

"What? What the fuck are you talking about?! Of course I didn't I'm not nocturnal you know! I actually fucking sleep durning the dark hours of the early morning unlike you apparently!"

"She texted both of us about an hour and thirty minutes ago! She said when we wake up we have to go to the funeral home to help her with something. Come on let's go!" Angel said.

I checked Morrigan's text message then got up and opened the door to let Angel in.

"Fine. But just to be clear Mori said for us to come when we wake up. Not when we're forced to wake up by a maniac woman yelling so loud that half the neighborhood could hear her. So if this ever happens again go without me next time, okay?

"Alright. I agree." Angel said apologizing to me with a hug. "Now let's go!" She said grabbing my hand and dragging me down the stairs to my front door.

"Angel!"

"We don't have time for this Yui, we will eat breakfast soon just get your shoes on and-"

"That's not what I was going to say. I was gonna point out that I'm still wearing pajamas."

Angel laughed at herself and let go of my hand. "Haha okay go get dressed and brush your teeth then we will go. In the meantime I gonna get some cereal from your kitchen since I know you take a long time to get dressed."
