Morrigan's P.O.V.
Oh shit. I'm in for so much embarrassment. Shit shit shit.
"Hey." Zero said looking directly at me.
"H-hi..." I said back.
We sat in silence. Zero said nothing more and neither did I.
"Alright class time to learn the class expectations!"
Everybody sighed and booed at that. All that we did this entire school day was learn about what we are supposed to do and not supposed to do. But everyone knew that by next week all of that would be forgotten.
"Okay so the expectations for this class is to always turn your work in on time. Homework will count as 20 percent of your grade..."
Mr.Sky kept blabbing on about something to do with tests, quizzes, homework and all that stuff but the class could care less. A boy named Ethan kept flicking paper triangles at Judy's black curly hair. The triangles eventually got stuck in her curls and Ethan was laughing until he coughed. Kala was fast asleep, drooling on the desk she sat at. Nicky was coloring on the table with a pencil, basically everyone was doing their own thing.
I looked across my table from where I sat and Zero was still staring at me with huge brownish black eyes. I don't know why but it made me nervous.
"Well that about wraps up our rules and expectations. Now we will get into groups of 5 that I will assign and write down on poster board all the rules I have just explained to you."
Everyone stopped their chatter and froze. I don't think even one person was listening to him besides Zero because he was the only one who didn't freeze in his tracks.
I slammed my head against the table.
I am a dumb ass.
"Okay. Zero, Cassidy, Morrigan, Kala, and Tyler. You guys are a group!" Mr.Sky said throwing poster board at the spot we were going to work at. Great just great...
Zero grabbed the poster board and 3 markers and started without a word. Kala took another marker and added butterflies and flowers to the poster, Tyler and Cassidy drew a rainbow on the top of it and I helped Zero write all the rules and expectations down. Our classroom filled the empty silence with questions and frantic freaking out from kids who had no idea what to do.
Our group was the first to finish and the only ones to finish before the bell rang indicating it was the end of a long day and that we could finally go home. I hurriedly rushed out of the room to my locker to get on my bus when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw a girl named Miley from my first hour class standing behind me.
"Hey, I noticed we have a lot of classes together. Would you like to be friends with me?" She asked. She had curly brown hair and light brown skin with pretty green eyes.
"Yeah, that would be great! I'll see you tomorrow I gotta catch my bus."
"Okay see you tomorrow, bye bye."
After arriving in the packed hallway I went to my locker, flipped it open, put my binder in it and got the hell out of there. The whole way home I couldn't help but ask myself, why was Zero staring at me so much?
--------
15 minutes later I got home and flopped on the couch. I was tired, confused, and really excited. I can't believe I made a friend on the first day of school, that has never happened to me before. I turned on my iPod sent a quick text to Angel.
