Death

A small child walked, hand-in-hand with a older boy as her parents walked in front of them down a small trail under moonlight. The child's beautiful purple-silver hair and blue eyes were different to her mother's beautiful brown hair and brown eyes but similar to her father's and brother's. She smiled and giggled happily despite not knowing what was to happen soon.

This little one was known as Yuzu Tsuki, she was a half-ling, half-vampire, half-human. Her mother was human but her father and half-brother weren't. Cause of not having full vampire genes, Yuzu was different to most vampires due to three things. 1:She didn't need to drink blood during the daytime or when it was a new moon. 2:She could be out in sunlight at all times. 3:She didn't have hyperactive senses unless it was under moonlight so garlic doesn't effect her.

Now Yuzu being only five years old went to kindergarten during the day and had a few friends, who knew nothing about hervampiric inheritance but they got along just fine. So Yuzu was used to seeing normal humans and not assuming they were nothing but food like evil vampires, like the ones in her picture books would.

So when a group of 3 men wandered up to her mother and father, she wasn't fussed. She just believed they were her mother's friends. But as her older brother's protective arms wrapped around her, she began to think something was up.

''Onii-chan?....'' She mumbled, trying to figure out what was going on.

''Yuzu, run. Get out of here, while you still can.'' yelled her mother, from in front of her.

Yuzu, at first, didn't understand. That was until, one of the men grabbed her father and shoved what looked like a long piece of wood through his chest and he changed into dust. Another one of the adult men walked up to her and her older brother, the older boy let go of her and yelled at her to run which she did so only to look back and see him crumble into dust too.

A sprinkle of tears ran down her cheeks, as she was barely able to move. Frightened into one place, as she watched her family be torn apart. The men eventually attacked her mother, a human like them and killed her into blood and gore right in front of the small child's eyes. The blood even splattered onto Yuzu's face as her eyes turned red with fear and shock.

''Mama, papa!'' She screamed out, she didn't know what to do from there until she remembered that she had been told to run.

She ran as quick as her small legs would carry her, trying to get to safety or maybe to her home. She didn't know, but she had to get away from the humans. She eventually found a small alleyway, the alleyway was very small and the prefect size for a small child like her and not big enough for a grown adult to get through.

She wiped the blood off her cheek and gently licked it off her fingers, her eyes changing back to the beautiful blue as her purple hair fell around her. She was cold, she didn't have a blanket to wrap around her or a roof over her head as rain began to platter down. She didn't have anybody, not anymore.

3 days passed in the small alleyway, she almost never left. And because of that, she was getting really hungry. But not hungry for normal food like normal, hungry for the natural thing that vampires needed:Blood.

She looked down, trying to figure out what she should too. Her eyes blood-shot red, not from crying but from hungry. Vampire eyes would change in sense for hunger. Normal eye-color, usually blue but it could be a different color, would mean not hungry. Green would mean slightly hungry. Red meant very hungry but a special type; dark, eerie blood-shot red meant starving. Her eyes were that special color at this very moment.

She watched the entrance to the alleyway and saw a middle-aged woman walk by, the woman looked paranoid like something or one was following her around. This part of town was secluded so it was rare to see passerby's but that didn't save this woman.
